How do I lose "baby fat" on face?

Post by AggieAthlete »

Hi, I'm a 18 year old freshman in college and I suffer from baby fat in face (mainly cheeks). I'm also 6'1" and 170lbs. I hate how everyone says I'm "cute" and even more when they say I have a "baby face". I hate smiling because when i do, i show the dreaded parentheses on the both side of lips. It hurts self esteem and, to me, feels embarrassing. I don't know how I still have baby fat because I am very active. I run, play sports, and work out. I just really wanna lose baby fat to regain confidence.

I need all of yalls advice, suggestions, tips, exercises that will hopefully show results. Thanks

Baby fat, or fat in general is just that, fat. To lose fat, you primarily have to deal with your diet. At 6'1" and 170, however, I don't think you would probably want to lose any weight. The key is going to be train hard to put on muscle and keep your body fat low. I looked at your pic, and you look on the lean side, and I feel you are probably just dealing with a self confidence issue. I think you are letting people get into your head. If someone says you have a baby face, take it as a compliment. believe me it will be a blessing as you get older. As your buds look like old men, you will still have a youthful look. Stop worrying and train hard.

It's all good dude. I have had people think I am 20 something, but I'm 35. Product of decent living.

The only people that might have issue with you looking a bit immature, might be people who work in places with an age limit, or females.

A: Get ID, problem solved.

B: Don't waste time with females interested purely in looks. They are more often than not going to be fairly dim, self absorbed and uninteresting or irritating, you know annoying voice talk too fast etc. The ones with more intelligence and something about them, would have the emotional, mental and intellectual capacities, to see beyond mere looks and go for attitude, personality, intellect and inner self and as you don't look like the elephant mans estranged cousin, you've got nothing to worry about.

The fact you referred to your mouth dimples as parentheses, to me is a sign of intellect, that you knew what that word was, so why waste time with females who are shallow enough to judge solely on looks, as they probably wouldn't be on the same wavelength, Brain capabilities wise.

Unless you painted a big face on your butt and walked in backwards with your pants down, so it looked like a short skinhead kid, shuffling in .

Hey are you old enough to buy lottery tickets?

Pfffttt.

What sort of response is that?

Thanks guys for your kind and encouraging words. I will admit, self confidence is low lately. I think it may just be because I am young and a freshman at Texas A&M University. I'm one of the youngest freshman because I have a late, summer birthday. Most of the other freshman I talk with are already 19+. As I get older in college, I believe confidence will be back at original level. Its just the fact of getting knocked down to the bottom of the food chain from a Senior in a small high school of 100 to a freshman at a university with 30,000+.
