Need Help! Im new at this need your comments and advice

Post by starry_0416 »

HI, well it is first time here...

I've been overweight all life and finally decided to lose weight...("FINALLY")

actually I don't know where and what to begin with....I currently weigh 210lbs. I want to lose at least 50 or more....
I started Dieting and exercise, but I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right...

So far for 3 days at

BREAKFAST : 30g K Cereal,slim milk, 1 small orange, papaya slices

LUNCH: half chicken breast with lemon no skin grilled, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes

DINNER: 30g K Cereal, slim milk, 1 small orange, papaya slices
I have snacks too, an apple or an orange....

I drink plenty of WAter

then as for exercise in the morning I do HIP HOP Dances (even though I look absolutely ridiculous hehehe ) well I try
then by afternoon I have walks then I Jog and Run with Dog.... then afterwards I do Jumping Jacks and Sit ups

Any Advice or comments?

btw, I wasnt feeling well today, I had stomach cramps not because of workout, but because of monthly period! I felt down and heavy the whole day

hey there, im new to this site as well.

check out the meal plans on this website & plan your meals in advance this helps with knowing wat to avoid.

i lost considerable amount of weight last year with billy blanks advanced taebo workout DVD 5 days a week without changing diet, i stopped exercising for unknown reasons & gained all the weight within 5 months. im determined to do it again.

Discipline, determination and commitment will get u there!

Good luck, keep me posted

I want to get back on board and do it for real this time!

Will the fruit diet help? i was thinking diet and exercise at the gym would cost me big... :(

Hey Starry a few quick tips. First try to eat 5-6 smaller meals instead of 3 meals. This keeps your blood sugar stable and keeps fuel going to the muscles. Also you should not only be doing cardio (HipHop) but add weight training into the mix. Start with a full body workout 3 times a week. Start with multijoint movements which give you the best bang for your buck. Start with 2 sets of 10 reps for each exercise to get the basics down. Get a hold of me if you have any questions.

Fruit is a simple sugar source, it is also full of nutrients & antioxidants, so excluding it is not recommended. However properly place it around your workouts, say a piece with breakfast & perhaps one after a workout.Things like grains, wheat, rice, oats are slower burning carbohydrates & will leave you feeling full, for more extended periods. So try to include a moderate amount of these with each meal.As scott said above, eating small meals every 3 hours is optimal. If you don't have access to a gym, do full body plyometric workouts at home, good luck :)

starry your plan sounds great, just stick with it! committment will be the hardest thing by far,the only other thing i'd suggest is snacking between meals on healhty stuff, you want to eat every 3 hours. good luck and keep us posted!
