Pasta is not a no go, but could be limited.

Just other things like White Rice, White Bread, in moderation.

Also avoid simple Carbs mainly like Biscuits, Chocolately snacks etc etc.

White Potato is not the best post-workout Carb, it's good though, but the best kind is a simple Carb like Maltodextrin, or Carbs that have a good GI, (Glycemic Index), rating in relation to total Carb content, so your , (GLycemic load), is pretty good, and will help increase lowered Bloodsugar.

One potentially good Post-workout source is Dates, roughly GI 103-105, and about the 2nd or 3rd highest GI food source I believe, of which very few foodsources exceed the Glucose 100 benchmark.

You only need something like 4-5 Dates, if I remember correctly, to spike Bloodsugar well.

Sweet Potato and Red Potato would work well here, as they are roughly in the region of 90-95 GI, and if you ingest about 30g Carbs from them, will be about, 27-28.5 .

I wouldn't eat those at other times though, (except now and again), as spiking bloodsugar too highly and frequently, could eventually lead to Diabetes.

Just keep your meal schedules in the region of every 2.5-3 hours.

If you want some high GI foods, where you get a high, (20+), from total Carb, then as always, just do it after workouts, and / or for breakfast when Bloodsugar is lower, and maybe occasionally now and then when you wish.

the pasta itself isn't real bad if it's brown but it's just the quantity that epople eat it in that i don't like such as what you buy at the shop it's proably 2 - 3 cups worth yeilding anywhere from 200 - 300grams just in carbs let alone anything else you have with it...not sure on those numbers but you get drift

Not sure if they have it in Englad, but we have brown rice pasta here. I am a pasta addict. I started buying brown rice pasta because husband can't eat wheat pasta. It's made simply of brown rice, rice bran and water, so it's a healthy, "clean" food. Of course it is calorie dense so portions should be small. I think it tastes fantastic.

You might be Latino, but it says England on the side of all your messages, so it's not hard to guess where you come from .
