Choosing the correct weights

Post by friedlander18 »

Hey guys Im new to the site, and new to the fitness world. Im just trying to figure out how to choose the correct weights. When doing dumbbell bicep curls, ive chosen 15 pounds on each arm to start off with. The workout plan ive put together has me doing 3 sets of 10 reps. I found I could do 10 reps for the first to sets in good form, but can only do about 8 reps on 3rd set. Can anyone tell me if I am using too much weight? Or is this normal?

Sounds like a decent starting weight. Just keep at it until you can complete 3x10, then add.
