Lean meat?

Post by smatharu »

Hi everyone!

Just recently I started to eat meat (Chicken, Beef) and I have been told that I should be eating meats that are lean. I went to the grocery store and bought some boneless skinless chicken but from what I could see it still had some fat on it, I tried taking it off but that was just a pain.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy meats? On Preparation?

Chicken, turkey and extra lean ground beef is all considered lean whether there is a little fat on it or not. This is not the tastiest way but i personally boil chicken and the fat floats to the top. or you could try using a foreman grill but in experiences you want to spend the extra cash to get one where you can control the temperature otherwise your food will burn.
Cheers :D

Lamb and Pork are fine too. You just trim the fat off the side before or after cooking.

Alternatively get your local Butcher or the person at the supermarket meat counter, to do it for you if you ask.
