Swimming - any success stories.

Post by mahakumar »

Hi
The only cardio I like and can do long time is swimming. Not a big fan or treadmill, weights and aerobics.Just want to know the benefits of swimming and has it helped anybody to reduce weight ?

Swimming can be useful, but could become adaptive, because you get the same repetition each time.

There are ways to avoid this.

1. Change the stroke each time you swim.

2. Change the stroke each length.

3. Change the pace each length.

4. Change pace and stroke each length.

5. Change pace and stroke each time you swim.

5. Change stroke and / or pace each week.

That way you're not doing something like front crawl and the same pace every single time, week after week, incase it becomes a bit stale and unproductive.

It is often mentioned that swimming is one of the best exercises you can put your body through, using a combination of muscles throughout the entire body that few other exercises can match.
As we know exercise can help in growing taller naturally, this would naturally lead us to the question of whether or not swimming is a good exercise routine for increasing your height.

Nope, sorry, it's not going to happen (trust me on this: I'm five feet, two inches tall, and I've tried everything...).
I'm assuming you are talking about in children?
