Weight lifting or working out twice a day

Post by badman2205 »

Im about to start a new program where i work out twice a day, one work out around 10am then again around 9pm, I know a little about overtraining and all that, but would it be overtraining if I get enough rest between workouts? I know about many pro body builders that do this routine... what do you think? An should I work the same muscles groups or different ones later in the day? I do heavy lifting and cardio is jump rope between sets.

You also have to remember that those pros are usually on steroids which allows them to recover much, MUCH faster than those not on the juice.

I think if you want to pursue this type of routine, it should probably be different bodyparts morning/evening, but again, I wouldn't necessarily recommend two lifting routines per day...
