Hello FT community,
I've been doing the Abs Diet workout in conjuction with the nutrition plan for almost two months. I'm seeing incredible results but I feel I could do a lot more. It's basically three full-body workouts per week and an optional abs workout on Saturday with Sunday off. I also cycle around 45 miles a week to work.
question: Are the rest days "absolutely necessary" or can I throw in some sculpting exercises that aren't on the plan on off days? Will it tax body too much at this stage?
All replies will gratefully be considered.
Thank you all

Hmmm??? OK, I'll go to Yahoo answers. They're usually faster at responding. Gracias por nada.

That's because that site is used by millions of people every day, some of whom have no real life or commitments and can loiter on the web pretty much as often as they wish. This message board isn't used by that many people, so you can't expect an answer with an hour, or whatever timescale you thought you'd get one.Forever1969 wrote:Hmmm??? OK, I'll go to Yahoo answers. Though if you want to misinterpret what happens here that's fine

However on messageboards similar to this one, expect sometimes not to always get a quick response, but be grateful it's not a messagebaord with about 20 members, around 25% of which actually post at all, as you'd be quite likely on some occasions to be waiting well over a week or more for even a simple response.

Add to that fact that most Yahoo Answers responders lack basic grammar skills and most times their responses resemble a 13-year-old's text messaging. Real quality responses. Good luck with that.

Anyway, rest days give you time to recover. If you decide to drop them out altogether, you may experience some form of overtraining, which can include fatigue, sleeplessness and flu-like symptoms. "off days" usually involve at least some light activity, though I do avoid any sort of resistance training. Rest is absolutely essential for muscle growth.
I hope this helps (:
Thank you, Lesplease. I'll avoid the CAPS LOCK next time. Thanks for the heads up, I never suspected spammers did that??. I will "rest", I promise. It''s just that I'm SO getting to goal that I wanna speed it up.
