Ok thank you very much for your help i will try the bike and i will really work hard on the junk stuff!!! i know that no one can make the decision for me ... so that me and me alone all you guys can do is help and gave me some tips!!!!Fygle wrote:Well, you know what you have to do to get results. Now you must decide what you want more, sweets or a better lifestyle. Cravings will go away if you can avoid the junk for a while. Not having any of it in your house is what you should aim for. It will become a habbit and you'll think nothing of it. As for stationary bike, you can start out by doing some steady state 30-40 (or longer) mins for a while, then move on to doing tougher, shorter interval sessions when your shape is better.

I understand exactly what you mean, BUT one of the things I have learned is that I have to change mindset. You have to try NOT to think of pizza and mcdonalds as a rewarding, satisfying food and be more aware of what the food is actually made of and what it will do to you. Excessive pizza and fatty foods are not a reward - they are only adding to and keeping you from losing the weight you want.Frenchmaid1969 wrote:i get very strong craving for sweet also i find it very hard when partner is eating pizza or mc donald and i eat something else
Food can be a rewarding thing - as long as it is GOOD for your body, not clogging your arteries and adding pounds onto your hips.

Think before you eat. Is this food going to help me or hinder me? Making a choice to reward your body with healthier foods is the first step. Regular exercise is the next. I think the biking/spinning is a great choice - go for it!
Everything is hard at first - changing is hard but it CAN be done.

Thank! You are right i kind of know about the craving going away because 5 years ago i was very sick i had gallstone i could not eat anything with fat other wise i was on knees crying in pain that lasted for 6 month so i had to eat veggy no cheese at all not fat no butter, marg nothing like that and certainly no desert, it was very hard at first because it actually was a diffierent situation i know that if i eat that i was on knees in pain so i did eat them but i kind of starve myself because sometime even good food hurts so i had only half of a can of boost for the day (i lost 46 lbs in that amount of time) i love the way i look and feel i had so much energy.... but the old habit came back after the operation.... now i back to to where i started fatter, with no energy and i hate the feeling of when you bend over to try to put your shoe or booth on and you got that stupid rool there on your ...fitoverforty wrote:I understand exactly what you mean, BUT one of the things I have learned is that I have to change mindset. And like Les said, natural fruits can be a great replacement for the sweets that are bad for you.

Re: Calories
There are many factors in deciding your calorie intake, such as...what is your ideal weight, how much over weight are you, are you diabetic, any other health factors, typically you should eat at least 1000 calories and up to 2400. Remember it's not just eating right, you have to have an exercise program, stick to it for a year or so and you'll look FINE, or maybe you look fine now, it's all about what makes you feel beautiful and weighing less is proven to make you live longer and give you much more stamina. Good luck !!!

Re: Calories
To be honest I wouldn't reccomend 1,000 calories to anyone, unless they were females roughly 12 years old and males roughly 10 years old.

I think i would be hungrey if i eat below 1,000 it actually come up quick the calories and you end up nothing in your ... I would go more like you said and boss man said!!!Lesplease wrote:In practice, I do not EVER suggest below 1300.

Re: Calories
I told you 1,800 a day is roughly what sedentary females require to consume, for men it's 200 a day higher.
For you, taking into account your activity levels, you could go as high as 2,100 so you have a small amount more to burn.
That's pretty much what I told you before

When you say activity level (i don't do much exercice) and work is actually most of the time sitting all day long... less exercice you do more calorie you got to consume???Boss Man wrote:I told you 1,800 a day is roughly what sedentary females require to consume, for men it's 200 a day higher.

What do you mean by (so you have a small amount more to burn) lol... i actually would like to loose like 40 lbs so i probably don't understand what you telling me (like usually i make you repeat all the time)
Re: Calories
When I say more to burn. The body needs a certain amount of calories to burn and to encourage Fat loss. For exercise, consume a small percentage more than sedentary people, as exercise burns calories, but by eating a bit more than sedentary people, you have the extra calories and fuel to burn off when exercising.
Then the body is more likely to start shedding added fat, rather than potentially burning muscle instead.
