Ain't that first time without stopping the greatest feeling in the world? Now, you know you can do anything!!Noosk wrote:It's the first training run I've done without walk breaks - I think it was more psychological than physiological before the race when I kept stopping and basically had a rubbish attitude about what I could achieve.

Bonnie - freedom - yes I totally get that now. mindset going into the race was to not worry about time, to walk as well as I could and if I could manage some running intervals then do it. I guess I gave myself the freedom to run if I felt body could do it - and it did! It was mind holding me back all these weeks/months. I had no expectations of how much I would run during the race so had no pressure to fail!
Bossman - thank you sir for your very kind words.
Edgard - OMG I was a bit nervous about whether I would do run yesterday without the walk breaks but during it I just said, go as long as you can - so I did and ended up doing the full 7k. Now I know that I can do it without the race environment to spurn me on, yes I think I can do anything!

Re: Noosk's Workout Journal
so here i am again. am super busy these days so little time for sitting at the computer. grrrr.
anyway everything going great here. doing running/walking/cycling/strength and all going well.
Am being really careful with food and have somehow miraculously made it down to 157lbs at last weigh in!!!!! I measured myself this morning and calculate that since I started in January, I have lost 40 inches total. HOLY CRAP!!! That's mad isn't it?
I don't think I've felt this good or been this weight since wedding. (note to self, try on wedding dress for the laugh)..
hope all are well, I trying to catch up with all your journals but as usual time running out!!
