Need a workout routine that does not use exercise equipment

Post by Clockwood »

Hi, I am new to this site and am looking for a workout routine that does not use exercise equipment, as I have none and cannot afford a gym membership, or exercise equipment. And I travel a lot, as well, so I cannot take exercise equipment with me on the road. Does anyone know of a good exercise routine? Thanks! ~Christine

I like Jay Johnson. Most of his workouts are using your own body weight. If he does use anything else it's dumbells. You can choose to not use them if you're a beginner or if you're on the road or something. I love his workouts cause of that since I'm doing everything at home now and don't have much. I'm not comfortable with a gym yet heh. But yeah he has a boot camp dvd and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders (he's their trainer) has a DVD you can get with him on it doing their cardio routine which is really good. You can buy his products at http://www.exercisetv.tv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; So yeah I like him a lot. You can also just stream through different trainers at ExerciseTV cause there's a good bit of trainers who have routines without any equipment. Cindy Witmarsh and Amy Dixon are good too that I've used who don't use much equipment except dumbells. And Jay Johnson always says how you can substitute the dumbells for something around the house like food cans or water bottles. Oh and http://www.bodyrock.tv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The girl there has some tough routines without equipment. :) I just skip the one's where she has other stuff that I don't have available (like chin-up bars).
