Hey guys, I just wanted to check and see what kinds of things I could/should get in order to stay healthy and hopefully lose weight while I'm here at University. I have a meal plan, so I can't exactly get a ton of groceries since I have to use the meal plan, if you're interested, I can tell you exactly what kinds of food I have access to with meal plan. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jena

Let us know what is what, then we can see how good and / or flexible it is.

Re: University Groceries?
Okay, here's what I have access to. A few of these I know the menus because they share a line with something I have gotten, but others I just haven't eaten at.
Scramble - A breakfast place that is open from 8AM to 12AM
----Fresh omelets (which can have cheese, mushrooms, onions, peppers, sausage, bacon, tomatoes), breakfast sandwiches (which can be on a bagel, english muffin or croissant), sausage patties, bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast, and biscuits with gravy.
Melt - A Pizzeria
---- Pizza, calzones, mozzarella sticks, and chicken wings.
ETC - It's like a mini grocery store.
---- Lot's of chips, crackers, ice cream, bread, microwaveable meals, soups, KASHI granola and cereal bars, premade sushi, some fresh fruit, milk, Naked juice drinks. (You can also buy simple cleaning supples and such.
Sizzle - A burger place
---- Burgers, chicken sandwiches (both grilled and fried), fries (cheese fries, normal fries, onion rings, seasoned fries, etc. It changes every week), chicken strips.
LaCocina - Southwestern Food
---- Tacos, Burritos, Burrito Bowls, Quesadillas. (They are all make your own, they have a choice of beef, chicken, or pork for meat, rice, black beans or pinto beans, lettuce, cheese, sourcream, salsas, corn, pico gallo, tomatoes, onions, peppers, jalapenos, guacamole)
Garden - Salad and soup
---- You can make your own salad (choice of mixed greens, iceberg lettuce, and spinach and TONS of different "toppings"), get "normal" soup, or an asian noodle soup.
Savor - Pasta
---- Don't know what they have, never been in line for it. But I know it's pasta.
Demon Deli - (Named after our mascot, but it's just a deli)
---- Choices of Wheat or white in three different bread types, I chose French and I don't remember the others. You can get, turkey, ham, chicken, beef, or tuna. There's all kinds of veggies, however, I usually only get cucumbers. You can choose swiss, provolone, cheddar, and American cheese.
Rim - Asian Food
---- Mongolian beef, shrimp stir fry, cripsy tofu, pot stickers, egg rolls, and fried rice. ( a few other dishes, I've only gotten Mongolian beef and shrimp stir fry)
Brownstones - A Cafe
---- They have breakfast bagels and pastries, and lots of coffee drinks.
There are also displays near or at a few registers where you can get parfaits, prepacked salads, prepacked pasta, prepacked sushi, and juice, milk, silk, and Naked Juice.
The only places I have gotten food from (so I know the menu is complete) are Scramble, LaCocina, Garden, Sizzle and Rim. So what do you guys think?
EDIT :: I have gone to the Deli now.

Re: University Groceries?
Anyone have not only dietary advice, but possibly a meal plan I could do?
Re: University Groceries?
Didn't I mention this to you about planning stuff on another thread? I talked about the Omelettes, possibly about the Burritos and keeping Sandwhiches in a fridge?
Re: University Groceries?
I know that, I'm just trying to ascertain what I already mentioned, so I don't suggest other things that confuse the issue, I just embellish on previous things I wrote, not replace.
Hopefully she might remember what I said, to see if what I wrote made any impression on her
