Sweating issues

Post by cyrax_101 »

I didn't this would under which section, so I just put it up here.
I have this problem/whatever-it-is , that I sweat a lot during workout. During weight training as well.
And I not talking just a little extra than others. When I come out of the gym after an hour of weights + cardio, I am drenched in sweat, as if I just took a shower in sweat with clothes on. And obviously even the towel is drenched in sweat. I checked with the doctor, he said it doesnt mean that I have some disease or an anomaly. So i now know that its not a symptom of something. (Actually I always perspire a lot more than the others) . Since I sweat a lot, obviously water intake is much higher compared to others.
But I just wanted to know. Could it mean something ?

I was just about to leave it at. That I just sweat more than others. But a friend of mine puts this stupid idea into head that it could be because I am burning more fat than the others.
So i thought rather than dwell in an unsubstantiated fact, lets just know the truth ,

Yea ... unfortunately

@lesplease :
Are you a med student ? You gave a pretty complex yet brief reply.
If yes , whats the reason for some people sweating a lot more than the others.

Wow. Ronnie Coleman would sweating 2-3 litres in a matter of minutes then. I dont think thats true. I dont have any scientific facts to affirm it. Just based on observations

I was going to mention Hyperhydrosis, in sp much as if you had it, you'd be constantly sweating all day long, much more than other people, not just when you exert yourself.

The Hypothalamus, is the part of the Brain responsible for Temperature, along with things like GH production, Thyroid and Parathyroid regulation, Cortisol, Insulin, Adrenalin, sleep, hunger, thirst etc etc.

It regulates your body temperature usually between 96.5F and 100F. If it goes higher than that, in many cases it's when you're ill, as the body is trying to create an in vivo environment, that is not condusive to virus or pathogen, proliferation or sustainability.

I think thats the correct term . I looked it up
http://www.hyperhidrosisweb.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It has nothing to do with body odour though.

I also have this issue. Will a small amount of physical activity to sweat. This is something that in case is a side effect of medications. So if you take any kind of meds, you might look into seeing if that is a side effect of that.

And its not just that I sweat from physical activity. Even if it is hot, I sweat a lot more compared to others.

There are procedures you can have to remove Sweat glands and have them lasered.

If the Hyperhidrosis was really bad you could consider options like that, but only if you were sure you wanted to explore such things.
