Hi, it's first day here at shapefit, thanks for helping!
I am VERY delicate with food, I don't eat fish, many veggies, and other many foods that I haven't even tasted before being able to say I don't like. With that being said, can some or most of you agree that "it's not what you eat, it's how much of it you eat" is true?
What I'd like to know is simple, can I eat and drink what I want, as long as I exercise? Let me give you an example...I need 3000 calories a day to maintain weight, if I eat 500 less a day for 7 days, that's a pound of fat lost a week, right? So if I drink 1000 calories of soda (which I won't) and 1500 calories of pizza a day, can I still achieve goal(s)? I guess what I am trying to ask is...can people still loose weight no matter what they eat as long as they keep track of their daily caloric intake? Thank you!

Wait a minute, your advice on eating good foods is definitely the right advice, however, that being said you can lose weight by eating less calories than you require and most of those calories being from junkfood. Your results won't be as good, you certainly won't be as healthy, but you can lose weight. The "cookie diet" and others are proof of that. I would never recommend losing weight that way as it's not really healthy and certainly not maintainable (you'll be much hungrier than if you ate healthier, whole foods for one thing) but he just asked if it's possible.

Thank you guys! As far as calories goes I totally understand now, and it makes a lot of sense now. I wasn't specific about goals, you are right, but you have answered question(s) thanks!

Yeah, monitor what you eat in terms of nutrient content, not just calories.
