Just got off the elliptical - 30 minutes. Not sure of the speed, distance and all that, but the balls of feet and legs are numb and I'm sweating bullets. I tell you this because when I used the treadmill, I didn't sweat much if at all that I can recall even when I did HIIT - weird, huh?

I just ate (or tired to) a fresh pomegranate for the first time - it was AWFUL~!!! Am I eating it wrong? Should you only eat the seeds and make sure the stuff that surrounds the seeds don't get eaten? :!:

The Elliptical is one where you look like you're walking in the air isn't it. I don't use much cardio stuff as you can probably tell. We've got a air walking type thing in the Gym and also one where you just appear to be standing up and rotating your feet round and round, as if you're speed skiing.

Both however do use Arm movement as well, when you claps the vertical poles, which a Treadmill wouldn't, so there's more Torso and Arm interaction, which could account for the added sweating.

That's probably it - I think the elliptical might give you an all around better workout than the treadmill...and as long as the treadmill bothers knees, the elliptical it is! I know 30 minutes doesn't sound like much but I truly USE to want to get off in 5!

BTW - in reference to post about eliminating weights for awhile and of course the answer that says, no way should I....just tonight a guy who works with son came over to give me a quote on removing some trees - well, when he saw gym he said, well, now I know why you are in such good shape!! Woo Hoo~! I guess I'm doing something right! Those kind of comments MAKE DAY~! :)

Today's Workout

Elliptical, 30 minutes at 70-80% - I'm really getting to like the elliptical - it's a love/hate relationship of course!

Today spent too many hours getting set up with new Black Berry phone, it took about 5 hours to get it and then make it work like it should.
It should be easier

But before that I met with a personal trainer, I mentioned him before, someone age who was referred to me by a friend. We had a GREAT conversation, I liked him alot! I have first appointment with him next Tuesday ( birthday - 58~!) I'm pretty excited :P

food today:
Coffee (2)- Weetabix (2 bisquits) with 1/2 C Fresh Blueberries, tbsp Flax topped with Almond Milk
2 Protein Homemade Bars - too many calories (about 400 total, they weren't huge) but I was starving and on the run.
Greek Yogurt topped with Blueberries, sunflower seeds, a few walnuts, an d tbsp of mini chocolate chips <---also out and about so took this with me.
4 oz Baked Chicken w broccoli sprinkled cheese and brussell sprouts (left overs from last night) - the chicken was really good, I cut up chicken breast and layered them in a deep baking dish with the broccoli and cheese, greek spices, covered and cooked for 45 minutes. Yummy
It's 7 pm now and I think I'll have a few almonds and cottage cheese.
How's that look for a days food?

Hope everyone had a great day!

That's what I decided :) Instead I did 30 minutes on the Elliptical this morning - felt good!

Didn't go to camp last night - wanted to be home for several reasons - no temptations to drink or eat junk and have gym handy for this morning. We will be meeting friends today at the beach - I'm only bringing WATER and healthy foods :D

Have a great day!

Took today off *kind of* from exercise. Yesterday at the beach friends twin 5 years old (boy and girl) and 8 year old daughter decided they wanted to come home with "Lulu" and spend the night. So, I went home whipped up a meal (tenderloins, spinach, and a salad, made come baked chicken too)Mom brought kids over, we had dinner - Mom went home and I had a ball!! We opened up both beds in the gym, but didn't go to bed before *working out* - the kids (supervised of course) had a ball! Once in bed they all fell asleep in seconds. In the morning the first thing out of their mouths was, can we workout? LOL

I'll have to post some pictures of these kids, they should be in movies! Sofia and Marco are the twins, Anna is the older girl - they were such a joy to have around :D I can't get own grandsons to spend the night :( at least not without crying, I want Mommy! Big difference when you are an only child and when you are 1 of 3.

Hope you had a great day!

Thank you Lynne~! 58 today - hard to believe - I still feel 30~! I guess that's the good news ;)

Yesterday was suppose to be weight day, but since I'm seeing a Personal Trainer today I figured he'd want me to do some weight training and didn't want to work those muscles 2 days in a row - so I did 20 minutes on the elliptical, but raised the resistance to level 5, before it was at level 1. Wasn't bad, definitiely doable (is that a word?!?)

So, even though it's probably TMI, for birthday I treated myself to 1) the appointment with the Personal Trainer, but 2) I had electrolysis done on chin, upper lip and brows over the past 2 weeks - still need to go back a few times for sure, but I can not tell you how HAPPY I am~! As you grow older ( I qualify here) and especially post menopausal (me again!)hairs seems to grow everywhere - anyway, I was sick of it and decided permanent removal was in order. For the mature ladies out there, you don't have to settle - it's not expensive and it will change your life! No more plucking~! You guys don't know how lucky you are!!!!
