muscles with no strength
okay since its still ramadan and all..i knew if gain a bit of fat and lose muscle, eh? Well i dunno about fat...i did gain a little for sure...but for muscle..i strangly gained =S...but i lost strength..so lifting certain amount of weight is not any easier despite the gain size = any ideas? is it because of the fasting?
Re: muscles with no strength
Yes, almost certainly. You can't maintain a good metabolic rhythm, when you're not eating during daylight, because you may be eating less meals during the dark, or eating too frequently to fit them all in, I.E. evey 1.5 hours, meaning less nutrition could get adequately used and the propensity to create more excess calories could occur.
Re: muscles with no strength
so its normal that i gained size but not strength?
Re: muscles with no strength
Yes. I would think so.
Re: muscles with no strength
once nutrition gets back to normal (in a day or two)..would the strength be there w/ the size...hmm...cuz lifting certain weight like 12 kgs for an incline BP..was pretty easy once upon a time, 8-10 reps...now barely 6..!!! although arms are raging and growin - even told by people who noticed it!
Re: muscles with no strength
yey...sounds good to me...thing is i have the size...which is weird i thought id lose...but being a couch potatoe for the most part, fasting 14hrs, made me thought id lose muscle..while in cont. i gained a bit..with fat of course, but yeah...just lost the strenght...wait cant to get to normal eating 5-6 meals a day habit....and see more gains =D
Re: muscles with no strength
Muscle is surrounded by something called a "Fascia".
When you weight lift it expands, but if you have to stop for any length of time and undergo atrophy, it doesn't shrink back, or shouldn't anyway.
This means when you lift again and gain muscle, it doesn't cause any resistance like it did, so muscle regrowth occurs more rapidly, than the intial growth did. The Fascia then starts providing resistance again, when the muscles affected return to their previous size.
