Currently I'm a 19 year old weighing 175lbs, 5"10 with 17% body fat percentage. I've been going to the gym 5 times per week for about 2 and a half weeks now. Ideally I would like to "bulk" up in chest, bis, tris, shoulders and back and get lean on abs and entire lower section.
diet is currently good, I eat protein with almost every meal, plenty of meat, but not too much fruits/veggies(I'm working on that) and tons of water with no temptations for junk food. I'm just wondering if goal is feasible to drop down to previous bf% (13) AND bulk up in upper body at the same time. Or should I stick to 1 thing at a time. i.e. full high reps low weight all over body and fat burning exercises. (pure fat burn or pure bulking)
Oh and currently, I am doing 8 rep / 3 sets for entire upper body about 15-20 rep / 3 sets for lower body and plenty of ab exercises.
Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks a lot.
Lowering BF% and Bulking at the same time?

Great, thanks a lot for the advice swanso!
But when you mean lean down... Should I start doing high reps / low weight to lose the fat initially or keep doing the high weights?
Sorry if I seem new to this, I've been doing a lot of reading and most sources say it is impossible to lose fat and bulk up at the same time.
So should I just stick to 8reps x 3sets or do 15-20reps x 3 sets until I get down to desired weight?
Thanks again
