Post by jchouck »

Hi everyone I'm jen. I'm 23 with 2 little boys, oldest 3 youngest soon to be 2. Its satuday aug 28th,2010 and I have made the choice to make a life change. I'm 283lbs and I just found out i have high cholesteral. I'm really stressing because i'm only 23 an i have 2 kids who count on me for everything. family has allot of diseases and so far i've been lucky and haven't gotten anything and I dont want to start now all because i'm over weight because i have emotional issues and eating issues. Overall i'm looking for support from everyone here and I'm also looking to make some friends who i can talk to outside of this website so that way i stay positive and i stay ontrack. If your looking to make a new friend feel free to hit me up on facebook for sure [email protected]. Hope to make some great friends over the next yr that I'm losing weight.

well I normally get up about 8am and i eat a bowl of ceral or eggs and sasage. Lunch times is about 12pm and thats pb&j sandwiches with milk, we snack on nutrigrain bars at about 230 or 3 and dinners about 5pm and its whatever i feel like making. I cook 3 times aday for 4ppl,LOL. I switched milk to 1% but mans having a heart attack, boys need whole milk there still little. I'm going grocery shopping on the 11th this month so any ideas would be grand! i started to drink green tea with nothing added I always have added 1tsp of sugar and some milk. weightloss is harder than it seems but I CAN DO IT!

Maybe don't need, but it's full of nutrients that's good for a growing child. Since when were we "supposed" to eat green leaves?

I personally think those nutrients are best found in other sources, but I understand that we've all been brainwashed by the dairy industry all our lives, so most folks are bound to disagree. :-)

You don't eat your greens? Lettuce, chard, spinach, kale, bok choy, etc.?

Of course, I eat greens every day, with most meals. I was just saying I think discouraging her from giving her children milk, especially low fat, isn't really the way to go. point about greens was, the only thing we are truly meant to eat is mothers milk.

(Keep the Eggs and Sausage with the Cereal, as opposed to an either or scenario)

(Have something else about 10AM like some Low Fat Cheese, Peanuts, Chicken and a Banana or a Ham sandwhich, etc)

Lunch times is about 12pm and thats pb&j sandwiches with milk

(That's okay)

we snack on nutrigrain bars at about 230 or 3

(Not many calories in those. You could include some Low Fat Cheese here, some Nuts, Greek Yoghurt, etc.)

dinners about 5pm and its whatever i feel like making.

(I would also have something around 8PM, like Beans on Toast, Turkey Sandwhich, Chicken and Nuts etc.
These suggestions should help, as you're eating too low calorie, which will encourage fat retention not loss.
