I used to have really good insurance but because healthcare is skyrocketing they changed it - I had to pay $800 for last visit!!!! It used to be a $20 copay :(

No workout last night, I took some time off of work and went shopping at the outlet mall in Wisconsin Dells again and got home really late. But lots of walking so it wasn't wasted :D We went out to dinner at a really good pizza place and I passed up the pizza and pasta and ordered steak/shrimp skewers with brown rice and veggies. It was really good so I was glad I passed on the bad stuff!

Today at lunch I bought a new DVD player so I am off to do Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout :D

  Yes, that is actually the name of the DVD - it is from Jillian Michaels, it is a killer workout!

Ran a light 1.5 miles tonight. Still taking it easy so I don't overdo it with the knee.

knee has been feeling good today :) Unfortunately I couldn't wear brace tonight because sister spilled root beer all over it :x That's why I took it so easy on the run! But it didn't hurt, so that's good. And it felt sooooooo good not to have that brace on!! It amazes me how different it is!

I know. Sometimes wearing a brace can make you change your stride or run differently. Not always a good thing.
Hopefully it is on the mend. :D
Root beer, eh? I haven't had root beer since i was a kid. dad used to take us to A&W root beer and we would get a root beer float. yum!

She made me stop at this little root beer stand and she bought a gallon of A&W (yumm, it is the best like that!) and she left it in car and it tipped over - I'm just glad brace was there to soak it up so at least it didn't get in the carpet :)

So it has been a few hours and knee is still feeling good :) I am relieved because I was worried about not wearing the brace. It really did feel better running without it. Like you said, the stride is just completely different! So I may try it again without the brace next time and see how it goes. I don't know, maybe that's a bad idea, but I run so much better without it!

We don't have a lot of a & w drive thru's here in minnesota but when i spent summers with grandmother in michigan we would go to A & W drive thru's with uncle as a kid. Good memories!

Maybe jocelyn if your worried about running without the brace you could use your brace only once a week and run without it once a week too and see how it goes?

We may have to butt heads in football season Joc! I'm really looking forward to the vikings season this year! :)
