I have been working out for over 15 years and am 50 years old. I had to stop for about a year. I am now returning to the gym.
I used to do specific body parts on specific days. I know after taking a year off I am not ready for that yet I was wondering
if anybody could recommend a good starting workout to get back in the swing of things. Do you think 3 days a week is enough?
Thanks
Bill

Re: Full Body Workout
To get back in slowly, I did full body workouts like Deadlifts, Squats, Overhead Press, Pushups, Chinups/Pullups, Dips, Planks and Inverted Rows... with little or no weights involved. Form is important as you may already now, and getting body used to the movements with minimal resistance was crucial. To be honest, I probably only kept the workout for maybe the first week and moved up to heavier weights. But you get the drift.
Outside of cardio exercises or dance/fitness classes or even playing games like basketball, that's what I would recommend.
