Diet on 'Off Week'

Post by PuroRock327 »

How should you approach your diet if you are taking significant time away from workouts? I will be unable to continue to workout for another 3 days, making it close to a week total... do I continue with normal diet/calories or do I scale back?

Thanks.

I would probably reduce calories a bit if I wasn't working out. I'd still make sure to eat every 3 hours or so but would cut out the post workout protein shake (obviously as there would be no workout to drink it after) and would probably cut back on carbs a bit. I'm not sure what your diet is now so its hard to say exactly which changes you could/should make....

Thank you kindly for the response. I did cut back a little. I won't bore you with calorie/diet intake now, but I do appreciate your response.

I made it through the week. I'm alive... I think.

You must be alive, otherwise how could you have posted? Unless you were typing that with your last gasps, in which case you won't be able to read this, so yeah, erm whatever  .
