MORNING EXERCISE???
I am trying to fit in workouts on the weekends to help with busy schedule through the week. Should I workout early before breakfast or or wait until I have eaten. I have read where some fitness trainers suggest morning workouts some say afternoons to burn more calories. What is your experience?

Re: MORNING EXERCISE???
Hello.
I prefer morning workouts myself. Gets the workout out of the way for the day so I don't have to worry about missing it if something comes up later. I also like morning workouts because I feel better after starting the day with a good workout and am more energized when I get to work.

Hey,
Well in opinion, both work.
THere are actually have been studies that say working out on an empty stomach can lead to positive hormonal responses that can help fat loss, but if you've never done that before, it be a better idea to workout whenever you can, it doesnt matter.
There have been studies that working out sometime between 1-4 PM helps to because thats when your body is most active and "warmet" so you could burn more calories but again it doesnt matter what time as long as you do it and do it with intensity.
Hoped that helped

Re: MORNING EXERCISE???
I've read about the 1-4 / 2-5 methodology, due to the bodies supposed maximal alertness. Assuming the person has a common waking time, not a night job or something like that, because that time perdio is suppsodly when the bodies most awake and before it starts winding down.
Most of these things I think probably contribute a minimal amount to progress if that, though I don't like the idea of working out on empty and would never ever do it. As Les eluded to, low blood sugar first thing, coupled with exercise which can lower blood sugar, sounds like a bad idea.

Re: MORNING EXERCISE???
I prefer mornings! For some reason, if I can get to the gym or out for a run mid-morning, I perform a LOT better than if I wait until the afternoon. Plus, I feel better about myself knowing that I got workout done and out of the way...and body just feels smoking after I get sweat on.
It's personal preference....everyone is different.
