vertical jump

Post by adrian »

hi guys, im interested in increasing vertical jump. i weight 70 kg and im squatting the same weight. The first obvious thing to do i guess is to increase squat. but how much? and is there any programs that are proven to work without the need of buying it that you guys can share?

the heavier you squat then higher you'll jump generally so definatley increase that...how? add wt each workout and do sets of 3 - 5 reps

the best programs is the vertical bible by kelly baggett but if you go to his site, faster, bigger, higher or something like that (google that and it will come up) he has more then enough free stuff on there to increase vertical leap

but as far as i remember, 8-12 reps is the best for building muscle mass and strength. or does this theory not apply to squats?

The box jumps will help greatly especially if you are wearing a weight vest. Calf raises will also help.
