How can I put a program together when I don't

Post by skully »

How can I put a program together when I don't understand the way muscles works? I am sort of tired by old program and I am giving it all at the gym...i need new exercises, preferably (free-weights) not machines as our gym sucks and literally has very little weighted-machines for "females". Sexists.

Should I try to do the 5 day split thing, each body part? How do i do it, and how many exercises will i need in a session that is no longer than 1.5hrs

And is it truly reasonable to workout legs ONCE a week in a 5-day split? Can someone give me a sample workout, sets, and reps...I am aiming for heavy....5-8reps max.
