Very Upset stomach!

Post by skully »

It's so frustrating when you have an upset stomach at work - especially if the place is quiet and everyone can hear everything!!!

Here is EVERYTHING I had today so far and stomach is a roller coatser, really.

9:30 Protein shake

11:30 Cappacinuo with low fat milk, and couldn't eat anything.

So yes i didnt eat enoguh, cuz i cant thank to upset stomach!

1:30 Salad: Lettuce, olives, corn, chicken, with balsamic ving

4:30l...TRYING SO HARD TO JUG DOWN protein shake with water and stomach get worse with every sip...

How am I eat when stomach feels like this! Seriously! I feel like stomach is going to explode , the pain is in gut and it's like this all the time...no matter what HEALTHY shit i am putting in body...

Caffeine can in some cases cause Stomach Ulcers and Heartburn. I'd suggest trying without Coffee at all.

I wish i can, being at work makes me very tired...and i am becoming addicted to coffee while at work..i know i wont have ANY coffee once work-period (3 weeks, finishes). If I eat food before the coffee would it help? I knowthat having coffee makes me "go", which I like cuz I am not going that much anymore. I only have one cup about 4x a week.

Its hard to stop drinking coffee all at once you know...esp I am becoming moe addicted now, but if eating before drinking it helps, definitely will do. I do drink green tea later in the day usually. I dont drink it for the caffeine to be honest. I love the taste and stupid brain got used to it. I used to do it M/W coffee...but now its becoming more often. Gotta reduce.

I used to drink about 5 big cups of coffee every day. When I stopped it was annoying, with headaches, for about a week, never looked back since. Just do it :) I drink green tea now.

I also just started drinking green tea and already can feel the difference from drinking coffee. Coffee always did use to give me that morning boost I needed but I found that drinking it without anything else in stomach led to many more problems. Cute the coffee gradually and switch to green tea. That is the easiest and method I've found and I'm still sticking to it. Plus green tea gives me a gentle boost of energy rather than a sudden boost.

So two days I didn't have coffee..told you Im not addicted, no withdrawal symptoms and stuff! I can handle not drinking coffee honestly (cappacino to be exact)..the only reason i like to tate it other than the taste is...it helps me go to the restroom, which recently this seems to be the ONLY way I can go... whole system got screwed up recently in last 2 weeks ...The only thing I can think of is thata I increased healthy fat, especially hummus...but its suppose to have FIBER which helps with - going...and I am drinking enough water.

And i dunno why legumes make stomach more g*sy?...

I tried green tea and apples...doesn't work with me. I don't think I eat a lot of carbs to be honest with you when I go back to see food intake. At most I will eat bread twice or thrice a day. Diary, I reduced yogurt intake tremendously, because I knew it started to bother me, I have milk with protein shake 2x a day...cheese not so much, only rarely...

before stomach used to go quite fast....its just these two weeks, it could be stress...a lot of changes happening here...im not getting enough and steady sleep of 7-8 hours...but is it normal for legumes to cause a gasy stomach? and how to reduce it?

funny song!! lol...

actually the activia one really used to help...i used to go almost right after i had it, but i also noticed it bothers stomach and make funny sounds -not hungry nor gasy sounds, like something's passing in intestine or whatever is going on inside there!

I know wheat and diary products - to an extent - bother me at time, not always though. A lot of it depend on what I had before, i.e. coffee, or mood usually. sometimes eating subway can be so good and relaxing to stomach, yet at times, it can cause it to become a huge -- mess.

but yeah those beans seem to make me NOT toot, lol.

Fibre, particularly insoluable, is better for softening stools, so you get better function.

You could also do some reasearch into Psyllium and Psyllium husk. Insoluable Fibre in supplemental form.

Espresso + Protein Powder = DISASTER
Once I had a shake within two hours of a latte, and... yeah, let's just say you really don't want to be doing that. If you've had a cappuccino before without having protein powder the same day and vice versa with no ill effects, I would bet that it was the combination of the two. Deadly!

Not to mention all the Xanthines in the Caffeine and the Nitrogen in the Protein and any saturate content also in the powder, would convert to Uric Acid potentially elevating Gout risk.

You wonder why some old people have Gout these days, but if you've always eaten a diet, consisting of things like fried breakfasts, fried in saturates with big mugs of Tea, then it's little wonder I'd say.
