Help me keep losing weight..

Post by Maddex »

Hello guys, name is Jose and I'm 20 years old.

A couple of months ago i realize that i was gaining lots of weight.
I think i was obese :( I weighted at a at a crazy 190 pounds that's a
lot for me because I'm really short, height is 5,5inchecs. :( :( :(
So i decided it as enough and that i needed to start losing the weight.

I started jogging every day in the mornings, at first i only jogged half a mile but
after a while i kept lasting longer and longer.. :)

7 weeks later, i can jog for 3 miles some times more and
I lost 17 pounds. :) :) :) :) :)
This is jogging schedule.

Mon. Tue. Wed. Thu. Fri. Sat. Sun.

Off 3M 3M 3M Off 2M 3M

I eat about 6 meals a day.
I don't eat greasy food, proses stuff and i don't over eat..

Now the problems is that i stopped losing weight; The last 2 weeks i haven't lost a pound. :(
Can you guys give me some advise on what to do to keep losing the weight.. plz.

Also, I'm new here
And i'm glad to be here because this looks like an awesome community.

Sounds like homoeostatis is catching up on you. What happens is that a body doesn't like change. If you are fat, your body wants to stay fat, A thin body wants to stay thin. Your body has adapted to the weight it has gained. At first, when starting a diet, people drop weight fast and it levels off. That is because your body desires to stay the way it is and your brain and organs produce hormones to try to regulate itself. So you drop weight, the body says,'wait a minute, hold on!' and produces the hormones to keep the body fat you have (slows down metabolism). Write down everything you are eating for a few days, so you can tweek your diet.

You should (IMO everyone should) have a resistance or weight training program. Doesn't have to be expensive, no gym required. Just lift heavy thing in different ways for 20 mins to a half hour 3X a week. Body weight can be all that you need to start off with. A Quick program that hits all your major muscles, is all you need to start.

If you love running, start doing interval running just to change up your routine. Look up fartleks, or pyrimids to change your running routine. Try different sports, like tennis, basketball, biking, the list goes on. Have fun and play hard
