Thank you, mami and Nokie. The pic was taken under the shade of a palm tree so not much definition showing there. I like the pic because of the backround and confident pose! I hope you are all doing well. Just got to sit down after a long workout/work day. Phew...good to put feet up. Ahhhhh!! So I haven't been posting diet because it stays pretty much the same. Boring!!! I know I am bored just writing it. I hate to subject you all to reading it!! Been pretty good overall, though. :D The carb/sweets cravings are getting less. Back in the groove and recovering from "post-vacation" blues. trainer has really been kicking butt! He really comes up with some stuff. Monday he had this rope thing. It was two heavy ropes weighted down on one end. I had to take the free ends one in each hand and swing arms up and down to make waves. We did 3 sets at 3 mins each. I could barely finish!!! Also, for another exercise I had to pull the rope bringing the weight to me doing that 10 times for one set!!! We did about 5 different exercises with the ropes and also combining chin ups and other exercises in between!!! I was whooped then went to work!!! Holy cow, I barely made it through the day. Today we did some combo weights, push-ups and sit ups with treadmill intervals. Sooo, happy it's almost the weekend. Going to be hot here in Jersey so that means BEACH!! :D I hope you all have fun plans.

I've seen them do this on the Biggest Loser and have never really figured out what exactly they do??? But 3 sets of 3 minutes must seem like forever, OUCH :!:

Thanks, Bonnie, yeah I am alive and well! :D Jocelyn, so you know what I am talking about as far as the ropes. Uugh, 3 minutes feels like forever swinging those things around!!! trainer is awesome. He never stops coming up with new stuff. Along with the traditional exercises he also uses a lot of MMA (mixed martial arts) style stuff. I almost felt like I wanted to pass out!!! Sooo, this morning was some combo weights exercises and treadmill intervals. So glad that's over and I am chillin with a protein smoothie. :D No work today but going to parents for lunch. The thing is mom said we will get pizzas. Yikes!! I didn't want to hurt her feelings so I said ok. If I could go and have just one slice would be no problem but mom is a big time food pusher. She will NOT be happy unless I eat about 3 slices at least. She will say things like "oh, it won't kill you" or "c'mon, eat!!!". She does this every time I go there. So wish me luck. I have kinda lost taste for pizza. When I look at it it looks so greasy and heavy....maybe that's because it IS!!! LOL I hope you guys are all doing well. Can't wait to hit he beach tomorrow!!

Boy, do I know what you are talking about - I have a mom and one sister that are the EXACT same way! Could you take a veggie tray with you for everyone to share - that way it looks like you are just being generous, but then you can fill up on veggies and then one slice of pizza?? Just a thought - good luck, I know all too well what you are up against :?

Technically it could kill someone though, if a tiny amount of Fat off a Pizza, ended up in the Arteries or Heart and was the last bit that triggered a Heart attack, possibly a fatal one :(.

So never succumb to people that say certain things won't kill you. In your case probably not, as you're very active and sensible with lifestyle choices, so you probably have beautiful looking arteries, that aren't gunked up to the hilt

Or say "okay I'll try it, but if it kills you let me know and then I'll stop doing it."

Hey, everyone!! Thank you, Will for the nice compliments! Glad to see you are also alive and well. :D I have been VERY busy with full-time hours at work and summer family fun on the weekends. Been trying to stick with a clean diet but, hey...it's summer! 8) I also have not missed any workouts, however I have just decided to not use trainer anymore due to financial reasons. He is an awesome trainer and I am happy with the results it's just a strain on the budget. Sooooo, I am really nervous about going on own because I am absolutely CLUELESS on what to do. We were doing full-body 3x per week but I am thinking of switching to splits now. What do you guys think??? Any suggestions? I don't want to lose any of the muscle I have gained by not working hard enough. Anyway, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying summer. July 4th weekend is this weekend....yayyyyy!!!! I don't have to tell you where I will be...yep, the Jersey shore! 8) I haven't been around here much but yeah, I think about you all....seriously!!! Gotta go get dinner so...cheers! :D

You can do full body 3x a week.

As for splits you have options.

1. Pair things up like Legs / Biceps, Chest / Triceps, Back / Shoulders.

2. Do a 4 days split 2x Upper, 2x Lower alternated, with a day off in the middle, so 2 workouts before and 2 after the day off, obviously alternating the UB and LB workouts.

3. A 5 day split, with a Bi's and Tri's day in it, not seperate days, which means a 6 day split instead. Not keen on that personally.

In adherence to your current schedule the two best options in eyes are TBT x3 or the paired option.

So for the paired option try something like this, with Abs included as well.

Legs / Biceps

4 Sets Squats, 8 reps.

4 Sets Lunges, 8 reps.

3 sets E-Z Bar Curls, 8 reps

3 sets Inclined Hammer Curls, 8 reps. (Both DB's working at once).

90 seconds Planks and 20 Leg Raises.

Chest / Triceps

3 sets Bench press, 8 reps.

3 sets Peck Dec 8 reps.

2 sets Skullcrushers, 8 reps.

2 sets Pressdowns, 8 reps.

90 seconds Planks and 20 Leg Raises.

Back / Shoulders.

3 sets Deadlifts, 8 reps.

3 sets Bent Over Barbell Rows, 8 reps.

4 Sets Shoulder Presses, 8 reps.

90 seconds Planks and 20 Leg Raises.

That keeps things simple, without using a lot of fancy exercises, that might require two or more movments in a rep, like Arnold Presses do for example.

This might be a workable thing, if you go for a paired option. If it needs a little tweaking, then fair enough.

Hey Sandi, great to hear from ya. Yuh, I was among the missing for awhile, as you say life is busy, but wanted to harass ya, and see how you were doing. Certainly LOOK like ur doing awesomely. Jersey shore sounds super nice, though I've never been there. Great job on not missing workouts, and totally know what you mean about the busy Summer, as soon as the kids get out of school the pace definately picks up keeping them entertained. Keep at it girl...you doing great.

Yeah, Will summer is a busy, happy time! :D LOVE it...especially this year as I feel sooo much more confident in a bathing suit! 8) Hey, was watching pro-volleyball with hubby a few days ago and i thought of you. haha. I am sure you are looking great hitting that ball around!!! I still can't get over your pics!

Boss, thanks that's exactly what I needed! I will put together a workout using the outline you gave me. I think I will try the split. This morning husband helped me. I did some pull ups, push up variation, chest press and resistance bands with treadmill intervals. I think I did a good job because I feel sore.

I am enjoying a yummy omelette and some blueberries before heading off to work. I hope you ALL have a spectacular day!!!!!! :D
