Carb intake

Post by Bdogg777 »

I weigh 196lbs I'm 5'8" I was wondering how many carbs should I take in, I have a Endomorph body type so I gain weight easily then losing it. I consume about 2500 cal a day I excersize about 5 days a week, I know I can't obtain a body like the pros in a short time and that it will take time. But I would like to see fat decrease and not still have this gut or pudgyness, any suggestions? wedding is in Aug 7 and I would like to be fit for it in that time and also enjoy summer not feeling pudgy.

Considering I have no idea how youre currently taking in your 2500 calories this is kind of a stab... I would shoot for about 220 grams of protein, 220 grams of complex carbs, 80 grams of healthy fats per day to get you started. Try that for a few weeks and see how it goes. What kind of exercise are you doing?

Mondays- Chest Back Abs
Tuesday- Biceps Triceps Forearms
Wednesday- Abs Cardio
Thursday-Shoulder Traps
Friday- Chest Back Abs

I try to eat every 2-3hours, I take CLA, Whey Protein, Carb Supplement, ZMA, L-Glutamine, Flax Oil, NO Explode. I try to get cardio in when I can after work, but primarily on lunch I lift weights. Everything that I'm doing is off the internet I have never talked to a trained professional about diet or excersize. If you could point me in the right direction I wouuld greatly appreciate it I also can give you what I eat if you would like. Time is becoming critical and I'm always up for change, thanks for helping a fellow Oregonian out.

I take CLA, (respectable product.)

Whey Protein, (If it's got Carbs in you don't need a Carb supplement, unless you want to be a little more flexible with protein to Carb ratios.)

Carb Supplement, (see above.)

ZMA, (acceptable supplement.)

L-Glutamine, (Unless you're planning to use this at night, if you don't have a Protein shake before bed, then you don't really need it, as Protein shakes are often bolstered with Gkutamine anyway.)

Flax Oil, (Don't need this if you're having CLA, either one or the other is preferable.)

NO Explode. (That's not worth it. It's a hype product and to some extent the Caffeine content will act against the NO content as NO visodilates, Caffeine Vasoconstricts.)
