hello all
i do full body work out 3 times a week lifting heavy
i normally do 5 sets of 10 ish
and was wondering would i benefit from doing say another 10 reps at alot less weight to get the burn or no ?
as i here some people say its good but i have no idea
burn set at the end

5 sets of 10? Never heard of that one before. I think the "burn set at the end" is pointless.

i was doing 3 x 10 but didnt think i had worked the muscles enough so started doing the 5 x 10 and can feel they have worked hard when i have finished
thats lifting heavy
the last set of ten i fail and only do about 7 or 8 reps
then i can feel i have worked them hard enough

I am a big fan of the 10x3 but youre right, doing all those sets does take a while. More than anything, I think the 10x3 is a good way to change things up every now and then. Usually for workouts I do 3-4x8-10 and I do alot of 5x5s... especially now as I'm trying to put on some muscle for next show.Lesplease wrote:It is more reps than you need.
