Unless you're putting on muscle while losing the fat your body weight will most likely decrease as your body fat decreases. Some will argue that its possible to put on muscle while losing fat. It maybe be possible for a short amount of time however I've found that its best to either focus on building muscle or losing fat. Trying to do both at once is quite difficult.
Generally you would go through a bulking or building phase to gain as much muscle mass as possible then follow with a cutting phase to reduce fat. It is exceedingly difficult for a trained individual to gain muscle mass while cutting weight. So, to get your fat down 5% you will likely lose lean body mass along the way. If you choose to cut now doing so more slowly will help. Make sure your post workout meal is consumed within an hour of training. It should be 4/1 carbs to protein and very low in fat to assure muscle glycogen replenishment (spares muscle). The rest of your meals should be low carb with adequate protein and fat intake.
Continue to resistance train but, don't over train, cut calories instead. Take your time.
