Just remember to gradually add time and miles to your training. I remember reading on your journal that you were/are joining a local running club that has a 5K training course? I think that is a good idea. A combination of weight training with a mix of cardio (interval and steady) is going to continue to help you drop your weight down - you're on the right track! (get it.?..."track"..."running"...EdgarHF wrote:Reading some of your running experiences. I'm going to heed some of the advice here.
Thank you Boss Man. There was a time when I would not have made a good example for anyone to follow....so, if nothing else, I want to be an example of someone who has turned their life around. It is never to late to be who you were meant to be - life sometimes knocks us off our feet, I know it has me, a time or two. But I am a survivor - in every sense of the word. I refuse to give in or give up.Boss Man wrote:You CAN be proud of yourself and you are a representation of what good living can do for people. ahaha! you guys are funny. A recovery run is simply a mile pace that I can run easily, maintaining even breathing - I guess it could be considered "steady state".feelin-great wrote:Allison, I was thinking the same thing when I read that, but then I remembered it was Lynne
I have had problems with knees in the past but it was mostly due to trying to increase mileage or speed before body was ready and/or running on concrete. I have at times worn a knee brace looks something like this:ldematto wrote: knees/legs are giving out on me. Lynne - do you have any issues with your knees? What do you do to avoid it?
I had wondered I must be honest.fitoverforty wrote:
