Is it really necessary to go more in weight after each set.

Post by Caliba »

Hey guys it would be great if someone can give me an input, I appreciate it. exercise consist of using the same weight for 3 sets and on the last set I go higher. For example when I bench press the first three sets would be 35 and on the last set I will jump up to 45. Is that good or a waste of time. Can anyone help, thanks.

I don't see that as a bad thing. If it works, stick with it.

i would say waste of time as you've maybe exhausted most of yuor energy on the lighter sets...do 3 - 4 sets with the same wt aiming for 12 reps one ach set...once 4 x 12 is reached than increase thw wt and start back up again
