Hi,
Im Tommy and wondering that how long daily training session should be , should I go gym for 4 days/week continuously either take a day off between each?
Im so glad to fasten up building upper body so 2 hours is spent every 4 days a week.
During workout, I try to gain 7 sets containing 10 reps each for
barbell (12kg each weight +20kg bar)
machine flies (90lbs weight)
chest machine press (85lbs)
lat machine pulldown (90lbs )
rotary lat machine (90lbs)
biceps barbell curls (16kg )
triceps lying barbell press to chin(18kg)
biceps dumbell curls (7.5kg each)
2 arms dumbell shrugs ( 12kg each)
weight : 45kg, height 1.67m ,age :20
However someone said the workout is too long.
Please leave your opinions.

Re: how long should daily training session be
Depends on your workout.
You can do different things.
3 x Total Body ever other day.
A 3 day system doing something like this. Legs / Bi's, Chest / Tri's, Back / Shoulders.
4 days a week like Upper Body, Lower Body, Upper Body, Lower Body, with a day off after the first 2 sessions.
Or something like this.
Legs, Chest, Back, Bis / Tri's, Shoulders, with a day off after Back day and Shoulder day.
As long as you don't use poor technique, too much weight or do risky or pointless exercises, like Wrist Curls, behind he neck stuff etc, you'll be fine.
Those are just some basic pointers.

Re: how long should daily training session be
I think a 2 hour training session is to long to lift weights. Try to keep it to about a hour or less.
A couple options
- do less volume
- shorter rests with more intensity
It looks to me that a combonation of those 2 options may be best for you.

Re: how long should daily training session be
thx bro.Now im confusing that how long a rest should be ? I usually take 30 secs , is it too short ,insufficient ?
Re: how long should daily training session be
train legs buddy, train them hard and give away the machines
Re: how long should daily training session be
30 sec is a bit short for liking but it depends on what your doing traing for strength or size. Supersets maybe need only 15 sec or 30 sec. I try to keep rests under 60 sec or however long it takes to switch the weight on the bar. If you want to train for strength you need longer rest times maybe even a couple min.
And Swanso is right You need to train your legs hard!

u guys have a great day..........................im waiting for how the result is.
Re: how long should daily training session be
If you're aiming to get strong you should follow a strength training program (i.e linear progression/full body 3x a week). If you wan't any help or advice on where to start don't hesitate to ask.
