I need help with weight loss and dieting - PLEASE HELP!

Post by dollfkd »

Let me dish out the basics -
Age: 16
Weight: 165

Okay so, for the last 5 weeks, I've been excercising a lot, 4 hours max. at the gym. Strength & weight training - 30 mins. Cardio - 30 mins. Swimming - an hour. I started seeing results so far, I haven't been weighing myself, and I don't want to just yet. (Stupid, I know.)

Anyway - When it comes down to eating the proper foods, this is where I'm a bit confused. I'm aware that I have to eat foods low in fat, or non fat. Complex carbs & enough protein in order to build muscle and burn more fat/calories. Due to weight, I'm suppose to consume atleast 1,200 to 1,800 calories per day in order for body to function properly and metabolism to increase.

But this is where I'm stuck ... I don't know what to eat, really. At times I get real confused, I don't know how much carbs I'm suppose to consume, and even though goal is to burn fat, I'm still suppose to eat it at some point, from what I've been told. friend told me to eat "healthy fats", but what are some foods that contain "healthy fats"?

When it comes to drinks, I drink nothing but water, vitamin water, or green tea. I don't drink diet soda's, juice, maybe orange juice here and there, but that's it. I cut out soda MONTHS AGO!

But anyway, can someone help me when it comes to meals?

What should I eat for -
Breakfast:

Snack:

Lunch:

Snack:

Dinner:

I want to be able to eat properly and lose weight to without having to kill myself at the gym everyday, (lol)

So any advice given would really be appreciate!

at 165 you should be at least 2000 cal's for maintanence although i even drop below that for fat loss but improvre food choices and train smarter and harder

What should I eat for -
Breakfast: fruit x 1, 1 scoop prtoein powder in water, high fibre cerial, skim milk

Snack: fruit x 1, tin of tuna or 2

Lunch: fruit x 1, solid protein such as steak, beef, chicke etc, veggies and salad

Snack: solid protein, veggies, salad

Dinner: solid protein veggies, salad

i would even have a protein meal before bed and i do (fish and yoghurt)

you need to develop a post workout plan which yuo follow on every trainign day no matter when you train where you'd have a protein shake as soon as you finish...i would also add some cerial to this meal (i have rice bubbles) but you can have a honey or jam sandwitch...about an hr later have solid protein with rice or pasta but only a moderate portion of then go back to the plan above

as much water as you can stomach

Okay, thanks a lot.
I'm surprised I only got one response, I thought I'd get more than that.
