Cardio and weight at the same time?
I need some advices here guys. I'm really confused right now, about whether I should do HIIT (High intensity interval training) in the morning and do the weight lifting at noon. I tried it for about 2 weeks and ended up losing little weight, which is not what I want. But I have to admit, I did lose a bunch of stomach fat, and abs are starting to appear. So should I keep doing it till I'm satisfied with stomach or should I stop and focus on lifting weights?

Hi,
I think cardio training comes first prior to weight training. A cardio is said to be extremely beneficial for body. First, it strengthens the heart and enhances the lung capacity. The cardio exercises are also suitable means of maintaining perfect metabolism and burning calories. Experts say that a regular habit of cardio exercises also helps you relieve stress as it promotes restful sleep and helps you relax. There are several varieties of cardio exercises to choose from.

Well, I do weight 6 times a week. Mon, wed and fri for upper body and tue thu and sat for lower body. goal is to gain some muscle and weight, the only reason I do HIIT is because of stomach, wanna lose some fat to reveal the abs. I'm 173cm and 61kg (I think 65-67kg would be enough). I eat 3 meals a day: breakfast (8-9am), lunch (12-1pm) and dinner(about 8pm). I used to do HIIT 5 times a week, and before breakfast.Oh yeah, BTW, I'll be 19 this June.

I used to do a routine like you said, but it didn't work out for me. muscle doesn't grow and fat was still there, so I switched to 6 days of weight and muscle started to grow again. Like I said, I tried HIIT for about 2 weeks and no fatigue at all, and it didn't affect weight training at all, except the fact that I lost a little weight (1kg, which is really rare for me). meal usually consists of 40% carb, 40% protein and 20% fat. I also have a little snack before work out and whey protein post work out. Roughly calculate calories intake would be a bout 2800-3000. I'm an exchange student so I don't have much time to make compliacted meals, and budget, let's just say not so high
