I know that you are supposed to eat six meals a day and I plan to, and I have also heard that it is best to get a protein and a fruit for the first three meals, and a protein and a vegetable for the last three. Is this true?
only problem is I don't understand specifically what I should eat. It would help me alot if I could get a few specific foods to add into 6 meals a day.

It's good to get protein, carbohydrate, and fat at all meals. As far as specific foods, there are no special foods that you should eat, just a variety. Grains, fruit, vegetables, dairy (carbohydrates); meat or other protein sources such as dairy, dried beans/peas/legumes, nuts, soy; fat- mostly unsaturated (canola, corn, soybean, etc). Many of these foods overlap as far as the nutrients that they contain.
