Post by Alexanderitalia »

Ok So guys i've been running for 3 weeks, no pain nothing, everything was good. Then i had a break for couple of days and after that... knees are killing me !

But not the whole knee only the inner side http://www.seriousrunning.com/blog/wp-c ... resize.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; here's a picture...

im sorry i dont know how to exactly show u, i just hpe u guys can understand.

Exactly near the round bone...inner

question is why ? I can basically run for 3 seconds and then it kills me, i feel like stabbing n cuttning :\ And i've played soccer almost all life and never had that issues !

Can it be becs i havent run since november and then suddenly started ?

At the doctor said he doesnt see anything...

So if any of u guys is experienced please tell me what can it be the cause or what shud i do about it ?

It could be that you have tried to run either too fast or too far too soon. Knee pain can be from alot of different reasons - so you need to address several issues. Do you have proper running shoes with good support and cushioning? Are you running on concrete or hard street surfaces? Are you stretching adequately after each run?
I wouldn't advise running until the pain is gone - don't try to "run through" the pain hoping it will lessen or go away. Try putting additional inserts in your shoes if you don't have any - make sure your shoes are not worn out. Try to run on dirt, trails, track - softer surfaces. Stay off of concrete. Stretch your hamstrings, calves, quads thoroughly after each run. Don't add mileage to your runs too quickly - the general rule is a 10% increase in total miles per week.
Hope some of this helps you. Take care of your knees! :D
