Thanks guys! I was so excited about news, that I forgot to log workout!

early a.m. run:

4.6 miles - steady pace, felt a little more tired, but that is probably because of the kickbox workout I did last night.
Anyway, it was a good run, in last 100 yards a little rabbit ran out from the woods and ran across in front of me and i thought "wook out wabbit! I wunning willy fast!!!!" lol!!! (sorry, the endorphins haven't worn off yet! :D )
Have a great day people!!!!

Hey Lu! Thanks. No, 160 lbs. is not goal weight. goal weight is 145 lbs. - then go from there. Ideally (maybe I'm just dreamin') I would like to get to 130-135 lbs. When I joined here I weighed 177  , then I lost down to around 168, 166 and stayed there FOREVER! Then after Christmas and New Years I shot back up to 170  and fought hard to lose back down, and I did, to about 165-166, but then was stuck again. So......when April came and I realized that it is already 4 months into the year and I am not seeing any thing change, I had to really take a good hard look at what I'm doing - not doing, and stop kidding myself (no, I can not have a pb&j sandwich for dinner...doesn't work for me and hips).
I have been so inspired by Cassie and how she learned how her body reacts and responds to every molecule of food she puts in it...I loved to read her journal when she would say things like "gonna re-feed this week, or "dialing in" etc. I just thought I would not be capable of doing that. But now I see that, while I am far from the level Cassie is at, I can really pay attention to how different foods affect me, and what works best for me and what is NOT working for me.
So, I am 15 lbs. away from goal weight and 12 weeks away from Virginia Beach vacation with inlaws....So you know where I'm going with this right? I can, and will weigh 145 by mid July...it WILL happen - :D 8)

Lynne - I started (or tried to) track food on Fittracker, found it very difficult - couldn't find the things I eat, or the quantities. BUT, it didn't look good!!! Before dinner I had 42% Fat, 24% Protein and 33% Carbs!! Ack!!!

Anyway, I think I'll go back to using something I used when I first started that worked well for me - if only foggy brain could remember what it was  Clearly I NEED it! And it worked so well for you! You should be so proud!

You can enter your own foods in - that way it stays in your custom food area and you can just check them every time you eat them - super simple once you get your most common foods entered! Instead of searching for the foods go two boxes down and create a new food.

or you can type your food in the search box and when the page comes up, scroll down to the bottom and look for "Member Custom Food Database" so many foods we eat have already been added by other members on their own logs and if what you typed matched what they typed it lists it there, just be sure to check the serving size and other info to make sure it is the same as yours..but if it isn't you just highlight it and type your own in and it recalculates it for you....pretty cool.
for example: type in the search box "grilled chicken breast" and the Fittracker Food Database" shows all kinds of meats and the list is long, but scroll down to the bottom and it will say "Member Custom Food Database (check for accuracy)" and it will say "we found a total of 51 results that matched....." and it lists them. I can usually find what I had, portion wise, calorie, fat, protein and everything from one of those. It takes a little getting used to and alot of times I just create own custom food - that's why I am forever reading nutrition labels and writing it down, so I can log it later...but I have to say, it keeps you on your toes....
Today I was going to get a chicken strip salad, but started thinking about listing those 23 fat grams on fittracker meal list and I thought - no, I'm gonna get the chargrilled chicken salad and save myself 17 fat grams - :D It makes a difference when you are putting it out there in black and white. Before I make evening dinner I already know exactly how many more fat grams, protein, carbs I can have to meet and not exceed daily weight losing goals - and it helps me to stay on track. Now I don't always succeed, but it helps to be more aware of choices I'm making. Except for Fridays....I don't keep track on Fridays....that is cheat day :P day off....in other words a "dessert of some sort of chocolate day" :D Me likes Fridays!!! :D

GREAT JOB, LYNNE!!!! A few minor adjustments and things start rolling again. You still have plenty of time till your vacation so you will definetly make it if you stay on track which I just know you will!!! That fit tracker thing sounds great. I wish I wasn't so lazy or I would put all of food in there too. I would probrably be shocked at what I see! I just kinda eye things up and estimate. Well, keep up the good work, girl. Never quit because you are worth it!!!! :D

How are things going in here today?

The fittracker, not sure if you've used it at all, but once you pick out your foods, it saves them in recent foods, so if your eating basically the same thing everyday, you go into recent foods, and just check them off, and it adds them. You don't like have to research them all everytime. Wasn't sure if you knew that Sandi, figured I would throw it out, makes it very quick. I added a few "custom foods" but it saves those too, so just a check and there added..... :)
