So I found a website with 70 recipes for protein shakes and these two caught eyes:
Chocolate Coffee Shake
* mix 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder or other protein with:
* 1 cup of skim milk
* 5 ice cubes
* 1 cup of water
* 1 spoonful of instant coffee!
Creamy Coffee Ice Cream
* 1 packet of vanilla protein powder
* 13 oz ice cubes
* 3 oz water
* 2 tsp ground coffee
* Blend the ice cubes until you get a snow. Add the protein, the ground coffee, the water and blend for 5-10 minutes to a smooth consistency. Freeze 30 – 60 minutes for thicker ice cream.
I am trying to come up with something that I could add to protein shake with some "carbs in it", and little fat. I'm getting bored of having protein shake with water alone. and I don't like honey, cinnamon...and stuff....I like it with milk a lot, but after a workout that's not best.
So what can I do the ones above? Add coffee to it perhaps? Or half a scoop of low-fat ice cream?

Honestly...I never tired oats as oats, because I don't really know what they are and how they taste! the only way I've eaten them is in a granola bar, they contain oats right? but it won't be liquidish?
I tried adding PB with a protein shake,it wasn't bad but too heavy on the mouth.
I actually been putting a teaspoon of coffe (with no sugar of course), and it tastes like coffee choco drink...and have it with milk in the morning. OMG it tastes likes HEAVEN!
But I cant out coffee at night or else I won't sleep....any liqiuidy ideas?

I don't like the shake to be too thick like with PB, and aren't oats a crunchy thing? how do you drink that? It's so weird.Lol..
I just realized I honestly don't really have "any" carbs right after workout. I only have the protein shake as it is...and only an hour or two later I'd eat some meat with pasta or bread. I am not sure Im going about this right =S...
Talking to a personal trainer, she said It's fine to have simple carbs after an intensive workout because the muscles need sugars. So does that mean, go have a cookie, an ice cream scoop or a candy bar? Because she herself said "you have something like a cookie.", sure and pack up the fat, right!
I personally, do sometimes, at least once a week or every other week have an ice cream right after a training session, because I know body would be burning it unlike having it say at 11 pm at night.......
either ways...any healthy liquidy-carb suggestions? (non-supplments)
I'm still trying to figure some things out...
I also forgot to point that I am very picky ab out food and stuff, and not everything tastes good for me. Im one of the people whp havea phobia from trying something new!

I would LOVE to get that recipe! Brownies are favoriteamatlack wrote:Oats are only crunchy if they're baked in too much oil. They are soft. I have a great recipe for a protein brownie if you really need a treat. Good stuff.
