al lthe sets i do are above 10 reps.
back hurts when doing explosive stuff, speedy stuff, it doesnt hurt when doing squats. but i do feel some pressure when doing RDL's, so im taking those off list.
im just wondering if i should use a powerliftingbelt, because wouldnt it be better without one cuz im using those muscles and they are getting stronger.

i think the general thinking on weight belts is if your lifting heavy weight to maybe 4-6 reps max then a belt can be a good idea to help with some stabilisation, but lighter than that concentrate on keeping your core muscles strong through each movement.
if your having some discomfort on some exercises use the mirrors to check out your technique- with the more explosive exercises it is gonna be more demanding on the body anyway.
i would make sure you are well warmed up and maybe add some back stretches into your warm up before moving into the explosive exercises and stretch out thoroughly at the end of the session. maybe try on loghter weights for the time being and progress on as your back becomes stronger and the pain goes.

Belts are good for 1RM's, maybe 2-3RM'S and minor niggles / injuries, but that's all. If they give the Core muscles more assistance on normal rep maxes, they are to some extent self defeating, so don't bother with them. It matters not if they're leather ones, or material based Velcro types, same thing applies.
They would add a little bit more weight to the Torso, espeically the Leather ones, which might be okay for Dips I suppose.

I Used to rely on those belts too, but I started doing some supplemental work with odd objects like sand bags and such and core turned so strong I didn't need one any more.
I also recommend some basic Pilates stabilizing exercises like the plank, side plank and some basic bridging. Those exercises are incredible for core strength and stability!

If your training is for a sport ask yourself, do you use a support belt in your sport? Is your training so that you will be stronger, faster more fit in daily life? Do you use a support belt for that? Bottom line training should mimic your reality. I never let pro athletes wear a belt or any other support that they don't use on game day, it leads to dependency.
Train for functionality and that includes core stabilizers and synergistic muscle groups.
