i started weight training 4 months ago, alone with this, left hand fingers sometimes lose the ability to move specially the smallest finger..usually happens when i twist them as a fist, then when i try to move it back all the fingers move except the smallest one, which i have to move it back with other hand..
is this normal?? when I start lifting, i was using 5 KG dumbells but now ( after 4 months) i use 20 kgs usually.. do you think I should use lighter so that fingers get used?
anything in particular i should do?
thanks

Sounds like you're causing soem kind of circulation issue to the Finger, or possibly reducing nervous activity to the area, so the Finger temporarily loses stimulus.
Obviously I can't see how you grip weights, so I can't say if there's an error in grip technique, but if you're muscles can tolerate the weight used, cutting back seems pointless, otherwise you might find your progess at a near pathetic rate, because one Finger on one or both hands, is causing an issue when you lift anything remotely decent.
I think it could well be a gripping error, but I have no visual evidence of this.
