I need some advice and wondering if anyone can help. I have been actively pursuing six pack abs for the past 5 weeks now (using iwantmysixpacks.com/abs routine). I lost approx 6 pounds by now and managed to leaned down core area but I realize I lost some muscle too. Help...
Problem:
Lost some muscles while trying to build six pack abs.
goal:
Six pack while retaining all muscle
FYI: I started with 167lbs, 5"9. goal is to get ripped.
Routine:
(follow iwantmysixpack.com/abs)
Monday: [resistant training] Circuit training
Tuesday: RUN - HIIT
Wednesday: Circuit training (If burned out, rest)
Thursday: RUN - HIIT or 10k run depending on weather
Friday: [resistant training] Circuit training
I am wondering should I continue circuit training or switch to heavy weight, low reps to regain muscle. Please helps.

Your post workout meal could be the problem. Make sure to have a 4-1 carb to protein ratio, low fat meal or drink within an hour of exercising. For instance low fat chocolate milk with 3-5 grams of creatine. You may also want to change 2 of your circuit days to split heavy superset days.
