Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Hi Martin,
Sorry I've been MIA lately.
How are things? Whats going on with the girl situation?
Meals today look ok... leave the cake alone or sit down and eat a piece. If you keep picking at it you'll end up eating more than you would if you just sat down and enjoyed a piece.

Hey no problems Cassie what's MIA? and the girl situation akward, she says she's tempted to do stuff and all but loves her boyfriend blah blah so ive basically got no choice but to stay out of it, i don't want to hurt mate either.
And your probably right about the cake lol.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
best advice Martin... The girl sounds like shes not 100% trustworthy. Youre a good guy and it is respectable that you are choosing to stay out of it! I know its hard to be the "good guy" but trust me on this one it will be worth it in the end! Your mate is lucky to have a friend like you!! You should be proud of yourself for doing the right thing and staying out of it.MartinBoy wrote:Hey no problems Cassie what's MIA? and the girl situation akward, she says she's tempted to do stuff and all but loves her boyfriend blah blah so ive basically got no choice but to stay out of it, i don't want to hurt mate either.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
I know what you mean. Eating the same thing daily gets old and can be boring. Have you tried eating 100% healthy 6 days a week then giving yourself 1 day per week to eat what you want? Might be an option.MartinBoy wrote:I know i know, it's just ive got so close with her in like a few weeks, just awkard, but yeah your probably right.

So this girl... Why is she still with your friend if she likes you? I may have missed something in previous posts but sounds like she's trying to "have her cake and eat it too" if you know what I mean.
Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Maybe you'll have to tell him, she's a paranoid android that's been intimating more than just a one off flirty pass, but is being too suggestive about you and what might happen.
Word it right, he'll know you're there for him and probably pitch her, touch wood.
Word it wrong and he'll think you're a turncoat or a liar out for his female.
Other solution is sit back and hoep he doesn't get burned. The way she sounds, she may or may not be a burner, depends how serious what she says actually is or feels to her.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
That could be an option Cassie, however on the free day i wouldn't feel comfortable with eating what i want haha. And she says she really likes me but she loves her boyfriend but she can trust me blah blah, so id probably be best leaving this one, if i feel if i interfere im going to piss off one of them lol.
Day 262
Breakfast, protein shake with semi skimmed milk, big bowl of porridge with semi skimmed milk.
Apple
Can of baked beans.
Lol i often take small bits of protein powder too
Feel and look alot fatter lately, must get back on track, hopefully do workout later.
Protein shake before workout but probably one of the worst workouts yet, just feel shit, tired, lifeless, like someone has kneed me in the stomach, not sure if fatigue is the right word but just found things harder than normal and didn't do well, all i did was 3 sets of bicep curls 20kg, 3 sets of military press 20kg, 4 sets bench press and bent over rows.
It could be where ive been eating bits of cake and not eating as well as normal, easter coming up and all things are just hard, not having a job is making me be bored and probably making me feel tired where im doing basically nothing, if i had a job i wouldn't worry so much about paying for driving, i would have something to do, just life is shit at the moment and i feel i can never achieve goals. Im constantly urinating and feel fatter and look it too, god im sick of everything. I dunno why ive been picking at the cake lately, maybe where it's just there on the side and i have a sweet tooth for it. mum said maybe its body telling me i need sugar? But cake isnt healthy sugar lol.
Same thing day in day out lifes ment to be good when your young, if it is then what the hell have i got for future,
So frustrating.
Dinner - jacket potato, chopped vegetables, colliflower, brocolli, carrots, etc, can of tuna and a bit of tomato soup for taste, very nice.
Mum cooked for dinner, dunno what its called, but made out of, pastry, mustard, cheese and onion. Sometimes i would like to just eat normal dinner, as you know it's not like a takeaway, but i dunno, just temptation been alot easier lately.
Had the munchies lately that ive been eating pretty much nearly anything.
GOD i must really stop picking at things, no wonder i look fat, boredom?

Day 263
Breakfast protein shake with milk.
3 Wheatabix with milk.
Can of beans - 360 cal, 68g carb, 20.2g protein.
a very boring 40mins cycling.
Bannana, 1 slice of warbutons seeded batch (bread).
Still feel the same as yesterday, in terms of feeling bloated and all, just wanna feel ripped, sick of feeling fat, have bigger pecs, and a balanced back.

Please don't take this the wrong way... But I wonder if youre feeling bloated and fat is more in your head than anything? I've seen pictures of you and you ARE NOT FAT friend. As far as the pecs go... Just keep lifting heavy and you'll get there. I know bodybuilders who train for YEARS in order to get their bodies where they want them. Not only do they train for years but they follow their diets and workout plans to the T... never missing a workout, very rarely cheating on their diets, and sticking to their diets and workouts even on the days when they feel like $hit and want to quit. March 31st (yesterday) marked the one year anniversary since I started taking the steps to truly transform body. Before that time i had always been healthy but had more of a relaxed approach to the diet and exercise program. I worked out regularly but many of workouts were half hearted and I ate healthy but never paid attention to the amount of food that i was eating. March 31st 2009 I decided to take the steps to transform body and since then I can honestly say that body has changed more than I ever imagined it would and I am more than please with the results of efforts. However I'll be honest with you Martin... The past year has NOT been easy. In fact, changing body has been the most difficult and grueling thing I've ever endured. In the past year I have only cheated on diet a handful of times. There were many many many times when others around me were eating cake, candy, pizza, hamburgers while I sat and watched while eating chicken breast and veggies. If you truly want to make changes its going to take some serious sacrifices! Also in the past year I can honestly tell you that I have NEVER ONCE skipped a workout and have given 100% effort into each and every workout. There have been times where I was completely exhausted and just wanted to lie down and sleep for days, there were times where I felt like crap, there were times when heart wasn't in it, there were times where I wanted to quit... yet I still went to the gym and gave it all every day. You keep saying that you want to make changes Martin but if you truly truly do it is going to take some serious sacrifices on your part. It is going to mean finding a program and sticking to it day in and day out. If you TRULY want to build muscle and do it the right way you'll need to stick to a diet where you get enough protein EVERY day... I even recommend measuring food and keeping a food journal so that you know every day how much protein/carbs/fat/calories youre taking in. There are some people who are blessed with naturally great physiques.. who put on muscle really easily and don't have to worry as much about diet. Unfortionately I'm not one of those people and have found that if i really truly want to change body I have to give it 100% every single day. This might also be the case for you Martin. So I guess you need to ask yourself how badly you want to change your body? If you want it bad enough then you will take the steps to make it happen. You have to decide though if you want it bad enough to put the effort in Martin. Honestly sometimes it seems like you want the results but you're not willing to put forth all the effort to make the changes. Just thoughts and opinions Martin...
Your meals today look good. Keep it up!
Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Thanks for that Cassie, and i guess hard work really does pay off then? It's just lately ive been feeling the urge to eat so much, i wish it could be that it's a growth spurt? However i highly doubt that, i need to stop picking at things but for some reason lately i cant help myself, and normally im pretty good at not tempting to eat crappy foods. And i dunno, i always feel bloated and just wish i was ripped instead of the horrible fat covering it up, i feel i need to change the workout/routine a bit i dunno, maybe im just going through a bad patch, i still eat reasonably well i feel.
Just need to stop picking at junk foods, with it being easter and having loads of easter eggs to does not help!!
Grrrr lol.
Dinner- jacket potato with a little bit of butter, put some tomato ketchup on the plate for taste, slice of seeded batch bread, and a can of tuna.

I agree with Brent - you can - you just have to want to change bad enough. When you mentally get to that point it won't be as difficult to pass that stuff up.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Yes Martin, hard work DOES PAY OFF. I promise you. If you feel the urge to eat then eat! Just choose healthy foods! Vegetables are always a great thing to snack on. Protein is also a good choice. Healthy fats are great too as they will help fill you up and keep you satisfied longer than something like bread or other simple carbs. I'm not sure if its a growth spurt... Could just be that youre more hungry right now or it could be that you need more protein/healthy fat/calories. I don't think you need more carbs as you seem to get plenty of those. If you always feel bloated it might be something in your diet that is making you feel that way. I had to give up wheat products about a year ago as I found that I was ALWAYS bloated and it was because i was intolerant to wheat products. Since giving up the wheat i'm no longer bloated. Many people are also intolerant to dairy and find that they become bloated and puffy from eating that. You might experiment with your diet a little by taking out certain things (I would start with either dairy OR wheat) and see how you feel after taking those out... take out one at a time if you do it... don't take out both.MartinBoy wrote:Thanks for that Cassie, and i guess hard work really does pay off then? I understand that it can be hard to resist temptation. However if you want results bad enough you will resist. I know its hard but I believe in you Martin and I know you have the power to reach your goals... IF you really want to reach them.

Hope you're having a great day!

Martin I have the same problem actually mines worse because i have quite a bit of weight to lose. Thanks Cassie for talking about how you never skip workouts and eat healthy even when around your family. Because I do skip workouts sometimes and do eat foods that I shouldn't especially when around family and friends. It really is dedication and determination. You inspired me!
good luck martin!

Brilliant! Simple, yet profound. That "little something no one else has" is inside of you, unique to you, and is what makes you push yourself and not accept how everyone else is - but continue moving forward doing what YOU need to do regardless of what others around you are doing or eating, to become what and who you know you can be.Lesplease wrote:To achieve excellence takes a little something that no one else has.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Wow guys thanks for all the help, i read it all and there is some great advice there, Les im sorry to hear about your dad, and i know things are hard for everyone, with easter eggs lol, if i can resist mine will probably stay in the cuboard for so long that they'll eventually go out of date. About the bloating, is it a really bad thing? I mean, sure it's horrible to feel bloated, no one likes it, but as long as it doesn't make you fatter than it doesn't bother me too much, sure i don't like feeling fat and bloated, but if it's not constant i guess it isn't too bad, the only thing i could thing of is maybe beans? As they have alot of salt in them? Or fish, as i usually eat that, that has quite a bit of salt too.
Day 265
Breakfast, 1 scoop protein powder (23g protein 90 cal) with semi skimmed milk, so probably about 200-250 cals? and maybe 30-33g protein.
3 Wheatabix with semi skimmed milk, maybe 400 cals? 2 wheatabix with semi skimmed milk is 198 cals. So id say here about 15g protein? I know it's not a protein source, but still has it.
1 scoop protein powder with a little bit semi skimmed milk before workout.
Workout
50kg bench press 4 sets reps 6-10
50kg barbell bent over rows 3 sets reps 7
50kg barbell deadlifts 3 sets reps 10
50kg barbell shrugs 1 set rep 7
20kg barbell curls 3 sets reps 8-10
20kg barbell military press/shoulder press, 3 sets reps 6-10
I usually say 18kg for the dumbells, as it's 16kg of weight but the pole and clips are supposed to make an extra 2kg, but i don't include the weight for barbell, so from now on im going to just say 16kg
16kg dumbbell flys on bench, 3 sets reps 6-8
16kg dumbell press on bench, 2 or 3 sets can't quite remember, and about 6-7reps.
16kg dumbell rows, 3 sets per arm rep (10)
16kg dumbbell squats 3 sets reps 10
16kg dumbbell lunges 3 sets reps 10 (5 rep per leg)
I feel better after that workout, im not exactly screaming in pain but i can feel ive done a workout, i don't feel as "with it" i was going to do about 20misn cycling after, but i don't want to end up killing myself, i feel ive done enough.
Can of baked beans in tomato sauce after, drained most of the sauce out of the can, and can is 366 cal, about 68g carb, and i think 20g is sugars, do u think this is natural sugars? Or possibly sugar from the sauce? and about 20gs protein.
Feel better today too where i haven't been picking at things.
Apple
some dry roasted peanuts
And a pack of beef slices, whole pack is about 190 cals, 39g protein.
2 Salmon fish fillet steaks.
