I don't think I will ever complain about not having time to work out again - that sounds pretty crazy

It's chaos, absolute chaos each and every day. ......Anyways, husband also tells me now on a daily basis that he can't wait until the competition is over....not the support I was hoping for... :( Thankfully I can rely on Cassie and other shapefit friends for support and encouragement!!!!!!!!!!!! XOXOX!!
I feel your pain girl, and I'm not doing near as much as you. I understand how stressful it can be do try to meet everyone's needs while trying to achieve a goal of your own - it is SO hard and at times seems impossible. I'm sorry your hubby is starting to feel left out and it less than supportive - but hang in there girl, you are doing amazing and you deserve this for yourself, don't let it drag you down. We all need to have something in our lives that is just for us, something that is special and unique to ourselves. It does take sacrifice and extra hours, but it is worth it, and the feeling of accomplishment you will have when you step on that stage will make all the long hours of exercise, posing, running, lifting, juggling kids, hubby, job and all SO worth it! :D And it may not seem like it now, but I know your hubby will be there, supporting you and cheering you on - busting with pride :D You go girl!!!!! :D :D YOU CAN DO THIS!

We men can be very selfish, and if we love our lady, we want her right at our side at all times. Barbie and I run into a similar problem, as she LOOOOOVES voleyball, and sometimes plays four night a week (granted two of them I play too........ ) and I will do similar, and talk to her about it, b'cause I want to know that I'm still her #1 and that I matter. I need some reasurring that we are good, and nothing has changed, and that she still thinks that ....I ROCK, and I'm the only man...for her. Its important for me to know she's nuts about me, and he may be the same way. If he is used to having you around, and available then this has changed it, and he's probably feeling insecure. Let him know he's the MAN, and your crazy about him, and this is something you need to do for YOU, but your not shaping up to get a new man, or what ever, and that you want his support, and you want him to be behind you, and be proud of you, and to enjoy the new you, even though he Loves you regardless. Your doing an awesome job...keep on going, don't get discouraged, and hopefully he will get behind you, that would be awesome.

Thank for the insight, I.W. I never really thought of it that way...I'm just used to being the independent woman I am and hubby being the independent man he is...I'm just not used to him being "needy"... I forget the time, devotion and dedication this competition takes away from time with family and husband...I'm just "focused on the prize"...or at least I was until this weekend...

I have a confession to make. I TOTALLY fell off the wagon over the course of vacation and went from 123 lbs when I left to weighing in at 130 lbs when I got home. I wish I could say I enjoyed myself but it was a cruel form of torture, feeling like I couldn't eat the foods I wanted with family...only later to eat it and feel totally guilty and ashamed of derailing progress. Best I can do now is brush myself off, hop back on the wagon...and focus on goal. Less than six weeks 'til show time!

On the plus side, I got hair extensions and new shoesfor the show while I was in California. They are SE-XY!!!!!! Meow!!

Hope all's well with you and yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Intersting you are both very independent, seems theres usually one in a couple who's more "needy" (lol....found that word comical...I bet he's never admit it... )[/quote]

Thats it....dust yourself off, pick yourself up, and reset. You've totally got the right idea of not beating yourself up over it toooo much. Sorry you couldn't enjoy it more

So the other evening hubby and I had the house to ourselves (the kids are on vacation with family for spring break) and we were able to spend some good quality time together. hubby expressed how much the diet and training have taken all time, the diet has caused me to be grumpy and it just seems like we're always heading in opposite directions. For anyone considering a competition, these are the kind of things you must prepare your partner for and discuss well in advance of making a commitment to the sport. It is life consuming in every facet and can be stressful on your personal relationships. We had a good laugh about how crabby I've been and had a nice time together. We even worked out together (I tried hubby's new P90X video with him) and he ate one of healthy diet dinners with me. I also kicked his rear in a mean game of UNO! LOL! I love hubby and I am sooo thankful for him putting up with me and all BS. LOL!

Diet and training are going well. I had the opportunity to go do a little grocery shopping and picked up a bunch of healthy goodies and some more tupperware. With the little extra time I had yesterday (since I was at home meeting the cable guy), I was able to prepare a few meals in advance for the rest of the week. I've been having problems sleeping recently, so I have been having a hard time getting up for early morning cardio and have been forced to take time out of evening to get full hour in...which now that husband is doing his P90x results in time we can spend together. I'm dragging today though.......coffee, help me through the day!!

Tonight husband is going out with the boys, so I've got the house to myself to get workouts in, have a nice little dinner, hit the tanning bed and hopefully turn into bed early! Tomorrow is FRIIIIIIIDAY!

Eat, sleep, train....repeat!! Hope all's well with everyone!

Probably? Maybe? I'm not real sure... Whatever it is that made him do it, I'm proud of him for sticking with it. He even came home late last night (poor thing HAD to go get a massage), and soon as he walked through the door he headed up stairs to do his workout. That's baby! :D
