Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The little doggie is Roxy dog, aka "Roxzilla". She's little buddy and she goes everywhere with me (even work). I love kitchen too - thanks!

I am sooooooooooooo happy with new suit...I just love it and think it'll be perfect for the show. I am going to start incorporating a couple workouts running stairs each week to help me tone booty to the shape it needs to be for the competition...

Stupid scale said I weighed 2 pounds higher than yesterday....!@#$%!@# scales anyways! Prob just water though... :P

Time for an update...

I just got home from sunny Tucson, AZ where I spent 4 days in the sunshine hangin' with best friend. We had a wonderful time, played with some yummy new recipes (which when I have time I will share in a new post), hiked in the desert and when shopping. The weather was so nice, I got to sport hard work in the gym by wearing shorts and dresses all weekend long...something I haven't been able to do in rainy and cold Washington! I was very, very flattered when I received several comments from complete strangers on how nice legs are!!!!! This is especially exciting for me since legs have never been best asset...so it goes to show hard work and dedication to a very strict diet has been paying off and I have no reason to believe it will be any different when it comes time to get up on stage...which brings me to next point...

I am now 7 weeks and 5 days away from very first show EVER...and I am soooooo excited! Before I left on trip on Friday I spent the morning with trainer in the gym. It was back day. Great workout followed by cardio and a posing lesson. It's been a VERY long time since I have posed for trainer in a suit...so she hasn't seen me for a while in a bikini. She was very happy with the progress and says that I am on target for the show.

I'm soooooo excited!!!!!!!

Okay, this is Day #1 of trainer's recommended diet and I have to admit it's not too bad. If I would have started this diet 10 weeks ago, I'd probably be singing a different tune, but with only just less than 8 weeks to go...I think I can manage!

This is what it looks like:

Protein shake
1/2 cup oatmeal with stevia and cinnamon to taste

Protein shake
1/2 cup oatmeal with stevia and cinnamon to taste

tilapia fillet
1 cup asparagus, brocolli, spinach, or green beans
1 cup sweet potatoe

chicken, tilapia or salmon fillet
1 cup asparagus, brocolli, spinach or green beans

chicken, tilapia or salmon fillet
1 cup asparagus, brocollu, spinach or green beans

All in all not to bad...though oatmeal feels naked without eggwhites. I think I'm going to be replacing the protein shakes with eggwhites after this week. trainer wants dairy and fruit out of diet from here on out. I had to give up precious skinny lattes. Had last one yesterday. Feeling kinda sad about it.

Thanks for all the support guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're the best!

Why the Green beans as an option instead of the Broccoli, Spinach or Asparagus?

Just because you've got one option that is quite Amino Acid rich with your Fish source, compared to three others choices with little to none.

Not trying to slag off your trainer, just curious. I mean yes they're also a green option, but then you could say things Green Peppers, Chives and Parsley are too, which are pretty Protein free :P

Boss, I kinda made myself sick of green beans by overdoing them a bit in the beginning of diet. I still try to incorporate them into diet as I feel variety is very important, but I find myself craving brocolli and asparagus for the vast majority of vegetable consumption. The same goes for chicken breast, so I seem to prefer eating more fish than chicken, though I try to mix it up whenever possible.

Thanks for the support guys!

Time for an update!!

The last week has been going pretty well for the most part. It's been hard to adjust to daylight savings time and getting back into the routine after being gone on vacation for a few days. Those 6am cardio sessions have been a challenge to get out of bed for, and I'm guilty of having to make up more than one workout in the afternoon/evening, but haven't skipped any! Even though I never miss a workout, I swear, it's like a small miracle that I'm able to squeeze cardio and lift sessions into day. I am always running everywhere I go!!!!

husband told me this weekend (on our way to posing practice with a very incredible gal who REALLY knows her stuff - more to come on that later)that he felt like I was running from him. Not true, and it sucks that he feels/felt that way. I explained to him that it's a daily challenge to get everything done during the day. From rising in the morning to rush upstairs to get cardio done, get ready for work, get the kids ready for school, prepare meals, get the kids to school on time, get to the gym on time to meet with trainer, get to work, rush to the school afterwork to pick the kids up from soccer practice, rush home and make dinner (one meal for myself and another for the family), rush upstairs to get second round of cardio in, get the kids bathed, organized for the next day, make sure their homework it done, and for me to have a few moments to spare for myself!!?????? It's chaos, absolute chaos each and every day. It drives me crazy when people say they don't have time to work out or eat healthy...BS...I call BS!!!! Anyways, husband also tells me now on a daily basis that he can't wait until the competition is over....not the support I was hoping for... :( Thankfully I can rely on Cassie and other shapefit friends for support and encouragement!!!!!!!!!!!! XOXOX!!

So, phfew!! Thanks for letting me get that off chest! On to the next bit of news!!

I met with a very talented, wonderful, smart gal who really knows her way around the bodybuilding world. She helped me SOOOOOO much with posing, gave me some great ideas about outfit, hair, makeup. ect..and really showed me how to present myself on stage. It was an incredible motivating experience...and the thrill of knowing that I will be showing off all hard work on stage in just over 6 weeks is really starting to sink in!!!!!
