Somedays...even if i had one bad meal (like ice cream) I still wouldn't eat more than 2000, otherwise I would've gained weight from the food I'm eating, but weight has been the same for a while now. It's like stuck at 52.5...Im sure I gained in the past 5 weeks about 05-1kg of muscle, I probably gained a bit of fat, too...I wouldn't put it past me. body is a lil meatier again...I'm ashamed of that. I went off-track a bit "too much", because of all the work I was doing...and I didn't wanna bother and all that. Really, when I was able to eat lunch twice at home...it really helped me keep the weight off, but once I was stuck in uni 5 times a week...I ate quite a lot of fatty foods.

but i'm gonna watch it closely again, even if it means eating subway twice a week at uni, which I get sick of really fast :(...

------------

Off topic...I hurt back while doing a decline bench press. How?

The bar I was holding with the 7.5 Kgs on each side didn't fit the whatever thing that holds the barebll and weight. When I got up...the weight fell backwards, and it could have easily fell on neck/face..so when I was upside down, I had to hold the babrel, back got strained in addition to ab muscles...I can move nromally and everything. I just have thos sharp pain in mid-back-lower back. I think one of the discs (if that what they call the thingies in the spine) is just in pain. I dunno if I should take some meds or put sth on it :S

I sort of hope it goes on its own within a week as arms pain have...which is still a bit there actually.

So yup...the new program is definitely DEADLY...It's not the program actually..I just got hurt because of 1) malfunction, 2) Can't handle body weight.

blah!

I feel like no one reads posts anymore  sorta discouraging. I don't know. I haven't written what I've eaten in a while...I know...I had some crap food at least once a day in the past couple of weeks.

Here's what I had today:

9:00 boiled egg whites and special k 98% cereal

10:15 2 munchkins (which have every Mon/Wed, which has been established before.) with coffee, I added very little sugar to it.

12:45 Subway sandwich: whole wheat, roasted chicken, mustard, olives, lettuce, 1 slice of lowfat cheese + 150ml of 7up.

4:00 Special K Cereal + low fat yogurt (that just didn't work for me! body seems to intolerant to lactose, yet I can eat cheese and cereal normally, just not yogurt :S :S :S) (pre-workout)

5:30 RPM (I have to up cardio this week). Past 2 weeks cardio has been little due to crazy schedule.

6:30 protein shake

8:00 Whole wheat pasta with turkey (YUM IT WAS SOOO GOOD!) and hummus.

I'd probably have a protein shake an hour before I sleep.

Aww thank you. that's really sweet of you!

back honestly still hurts with certain movements. Sometimes I forget that this actually happened few days ago, and I end up doing exercises without keeping the injury in mind! But i'm hoping the pain would go by the end of the week!

Just be careful because back injuries aren't something to mess around with. If the pain doesn't go away maybe you should have it checked out.

Thanks guys =)

Today meals:

9:00 Special K Protein Plus Cereal w/low fat milk. I know it's not enough...but didn't have the time nor the appetite to eat more!

10:00-11:00 weights

11:15 Protein shake and brown bread slices sandwich with LF labneh and zatar.

2:00 Tortilla with: turkey, cottage cheese, mustard, lettuce, olives + a bit of lemon juice

5:00 Boiled rice with chopping eggs, carrots, and chicken. Very little amount of rice. (Palm size)

6:15 Bodycombat

8:00 Whole wheat pasta with 3 thin slices of turkey. It's SO effing GOOD!

11:00 (will have) 1 rice cake with PB and a Protein shake.

Ugh...I have a major midterm tomorrow..and I can't study for it or focus. I truly hate university. I can't wait to get done with it already. I CANNOT wait.

and and and...I was FINALLY ABLE to pull of 6,6,4,4 reps with a 20lbs barbell. Last week I was barely able to pull 4 in first set. THIS means I gained muscle, riiiiiiiight?

Great job girl! Your meals look awesome!

Being able to lift more than you were previously able to most likely means that youre getting stronger!... either that or you had a mental block before where you didn't think you could lift a certain amount of weight so you weren't able to.

Bottom line... You're doing FANTASTIC! Keep it up and good luck on that midterm!

*hugs*

Thanks Cassie!

No before I actually would go to failure by 2 reps in 3rd or 4th set! So I am sure arms are a tad bit stronger, although it doesn't show "yet".

I'm really hoping after another 3 months I see OBVIOUS physical changes in terms of muscle gain. I've already been exercising regularly for 3 months now!

Thank you! I could use all the luck, you have no idea. I used to be a good student a semester ago...now I'm just so frustrated with all the work, the worry about grades. It's emotionally exhausting!

Yeah! I usually don't feel hungry right after I wake up. I even eat after I've gotten dressed and ready to go. I can handle eating boiled egg whites or cereal, but I just don't have a big appetite when I wake up. I often eat more and take longer time to eat on weekends, because I can actually sit for 15 minutes and eat.

I read your posts - but don't always have advice as I'm newer at this than you!

Low fat Labneh is some sort of diary product, similar to cheese, but is not and often tastes sour. It tastes really good. Zaatar is a herb. I have no idea what it's called, but it's tiny greenish thing with sesame seeds. =) I hope that clears it up :)

------------

Meals:

9:00 Boiled egg white, green tea,

10:30 Munchkins, coffee

12:40 Turkey sandwich, olives, rokka, lil mayo and lil cheese and diet coke

4:00 Special K Cereal

5:30 Cardio (combat)

6:15 Protein shake

8:00 Tortilla (the whole wheat ones finished =(, but I got 98% fatfree, and the nutrition value didn't look so bad), few bites of hummus...okay and few bites of home-made cake. Like seriously 4-5 small bites.

11:00 Protein shake

ONE very imp thing I forgot to say is that................ the pants that I love and wore a lot in "thin" days, and was barely able to wear 5 months ago an had to up the button more often.........FINALLY fit me perfectly.

I was looking at some pics from Jan and now... body is strange. In 20 days I lost a lot of weight in two if the pics. Now body look toned, but with a bit more fat in one hip, while the other looks the same.

Basically... body is a bit more toned, abs show more, tummy is "somewhat" smaller, but hips got bigger a bit =S =S. Again i realize problem is mainly university food. I can't wait to graduate. Seriously. I am sure in the summer (if I don't go to uni, or be exposed to a lot of hunk food) I'd be able to look bestest.

Hey girl!

Your calories look a bit low today. Only one egg white for meal one? Thats only 17 calories and 3.5 grams of protein.

I'm SO PROUD OF YOU for all of your hard work and for the progress you are making. I know you have a lot of struggles in your life and I know there are probably days where you'd rather stay in bed and hide than go to the gym and worry about eating healthy... HOWEVER you need to know that you are doing absolutely AWESOME and I'm so proud of the progress you are making. Keep up the good work Amna! You're an inspiration and I know you are destined to do great things!!!

*hugs*
