Normal pasta isn't the best for you. Whole grain pasta is the best choice. The thing with pasta is that one serving size is (I think) around 1/2 cup and most people eat WAY more than one serving... probably closer to 4-6 in the US i would guess.

Yes it is possible that your tortillas have that many carbs/fiber. Man those things will keep you regular. I've seen some around here with that much fiber in them.

Meals look good today Amna. Nice job!

Is that the only thing bad about pasta, eating more than one serving size?

Yeah. I really like thos tortillas...and their nutrition isn't bad at all. they have good amount of protein and fiber, not too much sugar...

Okay so here are meals

9:00 Special K Cereal, green tea

10-11:00 Weights (stuff to come)

11:00 protein shake

12:00 (I had to eat sth or else I would've starved body because of off-campus work) Hummus, Lettuce (w a bit of olive oil/lemon), Low laf labneh and Zatar in whole wheat slices.

2:30 Little rice, chicken, broccoli, a bit of lemon juice.

5:15 Special K protein plus Cereal

6:15 bodycombat (I haven't done any sort of cardio since Sat...and won't do any until next sat...)

7:00 protein shake

8:00 Tortilla: Turkey,Lettuce, mustard, LF cheese........

SOOOOO IAM SORE AS A M#%^F%^&*ER! you have no idea how SORE upper body is and the pain im going through. I can't even extend arms or drive properly!!!!!

I was very much sore from Sunday's workout esp in triceps and back because I did 25lbs for arm rows and 10kgs with skull crushers...

But today...is a whole different story. I ATTEMPTED to do the Jumping chinups...and at some point I got some few right, but not exactly in a proper form. I basically stood in chair (one leg) and jumped and lifting myself up, but putting myself down...was like impossible to do. I just do not have the strength. Even for a Pull up ....I can literaly go1 inch down and that is it! So yeah...no more attepting..I did about 3 sets of 3...and guess what happened? BICEPS ARE KIIIIIIIIIIILING ME.

So what I did today was Pull downs for the rest (80 lbs) I should do 70..I was over doing it I think it was really hard.

Decline bench press...HERE I had to experiment with the weight because I've never done a decline and there was no assistance in the gym, so I didnt want to drop the weight on throat and die...so each set I added weight until I figured the right weight for me with a decline.

First was 5 kgs,7.5,10kg...eventually I am able to handle 15 kgs on own.

With hammer curls between pairings (5kgs each arm)...so yeah biceps got a serious beating today!

Calf raises 30kgs...

Leg curls 50lbs

lunges 4 x 6 (with 5 kgs in each arm)...

isit normal to feel that ur muscles are WEAKER after a workout, also smaller?

I am NOT going to workout tomorrow nor on THUR... body needs 2 days rest off...cardio and weights...

I cant even carry 2.5kgs laptop!!!!!!! From the pain

Food is not so good today. I am still very sore. I've been sore since Sunday straight, and a lot more today. I'm still going by the 2 days rest with normal physical activity (plain walking.)

9:00 half egg sandwich..(I lose appetite in the morning. I find it hard to eat the whole meal or sandwich....)

10:30 2 mini munchkins, coffee ( I don't really consider this a meal btw)

1:00 Tortilla bread (white, no lunch at home): Grilled chicken, lettuce, 1-2tbs of garlic sauce, *Sigh* small fries (about 20 pieces), Coke...im not sure if they out DC or C. But I only had half of it.

5:30 Shake from a place called pulp juice, it's actually all healthy! I was shocked. Low-fat chocolate with skimmed milk and 99% fat free frozen yogurt, and they even have PROTEIN power. A scoop (according to them is 5 grams) so I had 2 scoops. So yeah...Now I know a healthy place to have a quick meal outside. sure it didn't taste like those choco shakes that are full of fat...but I actually liked it! :D

8:00 Whole wheat pasta//Chicken...and up 1 serving size.

At night I might have 1 tbs of PB on a rice cake + 10g protein shake

I mean the bad stuff in todays meals were (according to me) the garlic sauce, fries, coke.

------------------

so I couldn't have last meal, because stomach reacted badly after I ate the pasta + chicken, and its reacting back to LUNCH meal. I feel like crap. stomach is acting funny...it's awful. Eh...I dunno why that happens sometimes and sometimes doesn't.

I know its bad for me not to eat anything from 8 until now (11...and I wont sleep until 1 or so...) But i cannot put anything in tummy....really. so im just having plenty of water........

Thanks Cassie...I do know where food sucks and stuff...but its really hard to control what I eat when I'm at the university...really. There are limited options and I don't like bringing food from home and stuff....I've been stuck in uni 5 days a week, and havent been able to eat lunch twice at home as much as I like...so i dunno....but generally I look pretty the same, I haven;t lost or gained inches...really.

but more than anything im sore as hellllllll!!!!

Why not? It's a lot easier to eat well when you plan your meals out a bit and bring it all with you. I do 90% of cooking on Sunday and then pack all meals to go during the week.
This is what I do too! Man it makes life easier!!!

I honestly don't know what kind of food I could take with me that I'd enjoy eating and know it wont get rotten within this week if cooked ahead. Plus I carry a lot of things to uni as it is, and I cannot carry extra stuff with me. I dunno.

Anyway...I really need some feedback on this:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9544&p=65727#p65727" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Today's meals:

10:00 egg white and special k cereal

1:45 Turkey sandwich, with lettuce, olives, a bit of mayo and cheese + Diet Coke

5:00 Peanuts (was in class...so).

8:00 Popcorn at the movies

10:15 brown bread sandwich with grilled meat, with some mayo and cheese and lettuce.

And trust me, it takes things a lot longer to go bad than you think...I lived without electricity for two years, and even I could keep cheese for a week. :D Just stay away from the mayo.
We do...but at home, and I drive to another city, and I wouldn't keep the food in the car. I dont know i like to eat things fresh. I dont like to eat reheated meals...and stuff...how would I eat a chicken sandiwhc cooked a week before? It doesn't sound too apetizing. lol.

Sure I dont often have mayo...so having it once a week or once every 2 weeks is not an issue..I think.....

*cries* the pain isn't getting any better. I noticed if i don't move arms for long and try to stretch it, it hurts a lot more...but once I have it stretched for a while it gets better....and thats how it has been all day long. I'm scared i wont be able to do weight for a while...this is NOT good for me. :(

I feel depressed today. It's the weekend...a Friday...and I've been home all day. Because I am tired...but I feel so depressed ...and blah...and lost appetite...i dunno...

12:00 Special K Protein plus Cereal + 1 egg + green tea

2:30 Chinese rice (boiled tho) that has scrambled eggs, carrots, shrimps + lemon and mint juice.

5:00 Popcorn + Peanut Butter

8:15 Whole wheat tortilla: turkey, mustard, olives, lettuce, low fat cheese.

11:30...I was suppose to have a protein shake and sometimes the protein doesn't dissolve well..So i basically wasted about 15gram of protein down the drain because it wouldn't dissolve no matter what I do, how much I shaked...so it pissed me off and there was no point of trying another shake. I had 2 rice cakes.

Yeah...bad mood, a lot of pain.....blah!!!!!!!!!!

Zero exercise today. Just random running in place and moving...A LOT of stretching tho.

So the pain is still persistent. Therefore I have to make alterations for arm exercises. It will be nice if someone could give me suggestions for alternative exercises?

I cannot do a Pulldown, military press, I think I can handle a bench press, because when I straighten arms while lying is not the same while I'm standing. I can do press downs, bent over or upright rows, I really just can't keep hands 100% up above head sort of thing.

Meals:

12:00 2 MINI cupcakes...and when I say mini I mean they fit in the center of palms. I'd post a picture too, but I can't post directly from PC which sucks. I hate uploading through URLS! Rest of the meal: scrambled eggs, special K protein plus, green tea

2:45 Grilled chicken, rice, veggies, a bit of lemon juice.

5:15-6:00 HIIT + obliques/love handles exercises + a bit of abs.

6:15 Protein shake

8:00 again 2 mini cupcakes, whole wheat pasta with chicken, corn, and some small bread with little cheese in it.

11:00 protein shake + 1 rice cake with 1 tbs of PB.

So today was an interesting day. It doesn't often rain in UAE and we're NEVER ready for heavy rain and whatnot. So I got up normally like every morning and drove all the way to another city to realize a main road is closed and couldn't get to university. Somehow....I got lost in this other city that I never drive in, but only know ONE road to uni and that's all. So what happened after some point realization hit me, and there was no point of going (missed meetings, and have one non-attendance class).

So I went back home, and of course with such boredom I had and period approaching...I got ice cream on way home. I do not regret it whatsoever.

9:00 Special K Cereal + 1/2 egg sandwhich

11:30 2 scoops of ice cream

2:00 Rice with chicken, a bit of lemon juice

4:15-5:00 weights (Horrray the pain is 80% gone, I still feel some pain, but after exercising and during I actually felt better :?)

5:15 Protein shake

7:30 Tortilla: Turkey, cheese, lettuce, olives, mustard, + a bit of special k protein plus cereal. Like 15grams if not less.

11:00 Protein shake.

Soon sleep.

I don't think Im eating enough, am I?

I did gain muscle and have maintained weight so far. I'll go for another screening in another week or two to see if the new program is helping me or not.

Hey girl,

Regarding your question yesterday, how many calories are you taking in?

Meals look decent. Obviously ice cream and munchkins aren't great choices but you already know that. :)
