bread no good?

Post by xBrawlerx »

I know having bread with your sandwiches is great, but friend told me that the bread breaks down in your system and goes straight to your mid section. So this is no good if you are trying to workout your abs. I just need some insight on this one. thanks for any of the help.

Processed Breads, are not as good as things like Wheatbread. Realistically though, for you to get a lot of Fat round your midsection, you would seriously need to troff on a lot of White Bread.

Things like Wheat Bread are better for you, as the whole-wheat Germ, is good for things like healthy Heart condition.

the white flour in white bread does that but brown, wholemeal and multi grain versions don't (not as much anyway)

If you eat White Rice, don't go above 1 portion a week. I'ts not the most heinous of foods, like say a Pizza, or a Kebab, or KFC, Burger King etc etc, so one portion a week as an alternative to Brown, won't be really bad for you.

Though of course you could have none at all.

Yeah, where that often would happen is eating out where brown may not be available. At least people know it won't kill them.

True, but Fast food only kills in excess.

If people eat loads of FF you've got a problem, if someone ate 1-2 small Mc D hamburgers with no trimmings like Pickles, Relish etc etc, about once or twice a week, even if they were not very active, the chance of getting significant Heart problems, wouldn't be as high as eating a Big Mac a day, with Large Fries to boot.

I think people need to be conservative, and sensible with F F, or soon the world is going to hear so much one-sided waffle about this, many of us will be freaking out, at the mere sight of a single Mc Nugget, or 1 miserable French Fry.

I eat brown rice almost every day for dinner. When I go subway, I always get whole wheat bread. Once in awhile I eat white rice, usually at restaurants and such.

Nothing wrong with that, point was that White Bread, and White Rice are fine in moderation, and with such foods, there needs to be caution heeded, not to write things that may make them appear, very dubious Carb sources, which they aren't.

The only people who have a real problem with said foods, are Coeliacs people, who can't eat regular White Rice and White Bread, because of the Gluten in them.

People with celiac disease shouldn't eat wheat at all, white or otherwise.

I know, I was just keeping the comment in the context of Rice and Bread, which the discussion was centering around.

Any Wheat or Gluten sources won't help Coeliacs, because the Villi in the Illium get damaged by them
