Am I skinny?

Post by Diesel »

16 yrs old 5'9 and 142lbs. I work out a lot like maybe 6 times a week. I know I'm big for age muscle wise, but when I tip the scales I'm only 142lbs. People close to me will think I'm around 150-160lbs, but when I tell them I'm only 140 they get surprised. Is there anyway to gain pounds while still maintaining a trim muscled body? I heard leg workouts will increase your weight but what other methods are there? What kind of foods should I eat, what kind of workouts should I do etc.......Thanks.

Meals every 2.5 hours.

Protein sources

Skinless Chicken, Breast / Slices. Lean Turkey, Red Meat, Egg Whites, Low fat / non-Fat, Yoghurts and Cheeses and Cottage Cheese, Soy Beans, Tofu, (Soybean Curd), Fish, Rice,, Peas, Legumes, Low-salt Nuts, Low-fat / Skimmed Milk.

Carb Sources

Vegetables, Fruits, Rice, Beans, Wholegrain Cereals, Wheatbread, Pasta.

Fat Sources

Flaxseeds, Flaxseed Oil, Almonds, Cod Liver oil, Udos, Fish oils. Polyunsaturated /, Monounsaturated spreads, Omega Fatty Acids.

I would aim for 30 grams (120 calories), Protein 50 grams, (200 calories), Carbs, and 9 grams, (80 calories), Fats per meal.

So you get 400 calories per meal, 6 times a day, equals 2,400 calories and 180 grams Protein.

That should give you good nutrtion to start bulking with.

No, no those are the kinds of foods you can choose from. You don't have to have all those. It's just to give you healthy variety.
