sweet tooth

Post by rockchick_82808 »

Here's issue. I work at rite aid and we always have clearance candy or some sort of candy on sale. Is there anything that I can eat besides the candy at work to curb the sweet tooth? I bring salads ect for lunch but once I see that chocolate...I crave it. Any1 have any idea what I can bring so I stear clear of the junk?

You just said it...."junk" - that is what it is. It is a stumbling block in your road to fitness and health. You already know that, you don't want it to control you...so you find the mental strength to just choose to steer clear of it. I know that it is really hard when chocolate temptations are all around you at work. But keep your eye on the prize...is that candy bar really worth the setback in your fitness progress? Bring healthier sweet snacks to work. Fruit is good - apples, oranges, bananas, grapes. I like apple slices w/PB on them (all natural PB), or a banana slices w/PB. Or you could just bring the jar of PB (all natural PB needs to be refrigerated) and when the craving hits, just get a tbsp. of PB and eat it slowly - that usually does the trick for me. :D
And remember that no one is perfect and the occasional sweet is fine - just know your own limits, if you can't have "just one" then stay away from it. I struggle with this problem everyday, usually around 4 p.m., so I try to bring fruit to work. If I dont have any fruit with me, then I try to get busy doing something - get mind off of it, and the temptation passes after a few minutes. :D

Try chewing gum when you crave something sweet...
